I just hope that in someway the highlander will help with appearance mods loading, so when I customise my soldiers I don't have to take as much time.
would the improvements made to the highlander due to this mod, enhance performance of modded X-COM overall?
So for me I use the unrestricted customisation mod (final redux) and its kind of slow (frequent lag spikes) when customising my soldiers, would the changes by this mod increase the performance?
An update to full version 1.29.0 has been published. Full changelog can be found here:
https://github.com/X2CommunityCore/X2WOTCCommunityHighlander/releases/tag/v1.29.0
Importantly, the following bugfix mods have been integrated into Highlander and you no longer need them:
[WotC] Revival Protocol Fixes
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1123037187
(WOTC) Revival Protocol Charges Fix
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1862336674
They DO NOT conflict with Highlander, but there's no reason to use them either. You may still want to use the Charges Fix mod if you want to set non-default amount of bonus Revival Protocol Charges, which is currently 1/1/2.
