Timber Wedges

Description
This mod is designed to be a useful tool when detailing, adding many variations of slopes to allow for many configurations.

This is my addition to a modpack that can be found here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1868198266

The sloped timbers that this adds range from 1x1x1 to 10x1x1. It also adds half versions of the even sloped timbers, of a top half and bottom half variety.

Thanks to Xaerthus for teaching me how to mod.

No, these are meant to seamlessly fit together, we wanted to get away from the ugly vanilla timbers and planks. While this mod only adds wooden shapes, it's meant for shaping detailed modern vehicles.

Can you make the planks have rounded edges like the vanilla ones? Other than mismatching appearance, this is a life saver

Thanks for answering and putting in consideration, even not being anytime soon. I guessed right that issue is with collision, but didn't know if it was thickness or the edges, though. Regardless, half timbers behave much better in that regard.

Probably not going to do that anytime soon. The difference between walking on those blocks is the collision - you bounce while walking on plank boards because the edges have no collision. This was done to be able to compound the boards with each other.

New timber boards, smooth plank boards and timber wedge boards are quite useful. Speeds up building, reduce part numbers and improve performance at the same time. Would be possible to create also a half timber boards as well ?

I'm asking because, despite a lot of improvment lately with walking on moving grid (train or ship). Collision from planks are still too small and it is glitchy to walk on them. Timber boards does not have that issue, but they were too heavy at the same time. I have found that half timbers performs quite well, but have to add them one by one. That might be tedious on larger crafts and degrade performance too.

Just something that may help to overcome game engine limitations. Many thhanks if you can find time to update this mod with this.

@Johnbeere oh swell i didnt know about that

@StodOne Well, no, I don't plan to. You can totally use metal paint on them with the Paintable Blocks mod and make them look like metal though.

excelent mod and very under appreciated , i'd like to ask if you plan on making the same one but with steel , like steel wedges

Those new parts are awesome. 2 wide timber arches allow to create much smoother ship hull. Example: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2022142572

There is few parts missing, for even better building possibilities. Half cut timber, but cuted diagonaly to form triangle in same sizes like ordinary timber 1-10. Timber arche that start incurvation in length 1 same as ordinary arche, but goes 1 block less in width. Need something for smoother transition in narrowing hull without going up like new 2 wide arches does. Exaple on screenshots using ordinary timber arches: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2022987028
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2022987837
Here how it looks with using arches of same size:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2022988503

Many thanks if you are willing to add something like this.

@Wilfrith/pete_stutz Well, that's one of the many things this mod is made for... I expect you'll be able to come up with something nice.
