Nanobot Drill and Fill System

Description
Nanobot drill and fill system
for small and large ships/stations (automatic drilling/collecting/filling system)

Features
  • This system could drill, fill landscapes and collect ore (inside solid rocks) within range around the system. It also could collect floating ore. (Maximum range adjustable via setting file, default 75m large version 25m small version)

  • There are three modes for Drilling / Filling.
    Work Mode
    Drill
    Drilling works like as vanilla drill, cutting out anything inside the defined area. Depending on the settings inside 'Collect Priority', 'enabled' ores are collected and 'disabled' will be spawned as floating objects.
    Collect
    In oposite to 'drill' in this mode only ore 'enabled' under 'Collect Priority' is cut out. All other materials/ores are ignored and stay where they are.
    Fill
    In this mode the empty spots inside the area are filled with the material given under 'Fill Material'.

  • The working area is individually adjustable in all directions (width, height, depth).
  • The offset of the working area could be adjusted in all directions (horizontal, vertical, forward).
  • The collect priority could be adjusted by materials and materials could be enabled/disabled for collecting.
  • Collect floating objects. The system could also collect floating ore in range.
  • Needed materials for filling are automaticly pulled out of the connected conveyor/container system and/or the internal inventory (If "Use conveyor" is set).
  • System is fully controlable via terminal
  • System could be controlled also via scripting interface.
  • New System supports localized texts (currently not all languages are available, but with the help of the community this might change. See Localization ).

  • Status lights showing the current state of the block:
    Top light
    Lower light
    State
    Black
    Black
    Switched off
    Green
    Yellow
    Ready and drilling (or transporting)
    Green
    Blue
    Ready and filling (or transporting)
    Red
    Yellow
    Voxels to drill but but inventory is full
    Red
    Blue
    Voxels to fill but no material available

  • System is survival and dedicated server ready

  • Mod settings could be changed via settings file. See Discussion: Block Settings

  • Basis command interface via chat
    Allows to:
    Create a world settings file inside your current world folder.
    Change the logging level.
    For details type nanodrills inside in game chat

Hints:
  • Power usage (changeable via settings file)
    20W Standby (collecting information about the voxels/items to drill/collect/fill)
    +1.5kW if drilling/collecting or +150kw if filling
    +10kW if a transport is running.
    (small version block always 1/3)

  • To improve the speed you could place the block nearer to its target(s) or use more than one block. They will work together (not necessarily on the same voxel, but the overall performance will better in any case)
  • The drilling/collecting mode is totaly safe and will never harm anybody walking or sitting in range of the system.
  • The filling mode would anything burrow alive, so keep out of the area while filling. The system tries to detect life forms, but might not able to stop in time!

@andywht -- thanks for the kudos on scripting - though does look like I was not in a good 'attention to detail' reading mode the other day when I posted - which @mack.bolan pointed out - the one I was talking about is the original Build and Repair mod, not this one (which still works fine). (another reason I like Discord better - you can edit your posts! :P

Ok just tested it to be sure with Better resources mod. Nothing to report, mod is working as intended. Sees and collects all modded ores no prob. What problem you guys having exactly?

@TechCoder Mod is completely fine. Play with it on everyday basis.Maybe there's something you're doing wrong (although I doubt it, seeing your skills with scripting)?

This version hasn't worked 'well' for a long time and the author is long gone.
