Train Parts Whistles

*******************************************************************************************************************
Since the train era in Medieval Engineer begun, many compromises had to be made in our designs due to lack of apropriate train parts: wooden wheels, sconces in place of headlights, etc. This is why Xaerthus' Rail & Air Industries' invested heavily in a brand new development branch, where highly skilled engineers work day and night on bringing you custom parts, carefully adjusted for your best railroad experience.

No train can exist without a proper whistle. This mod fixes that by adding fully functional and remote controlled whistles with custom sound lengths. The whistle will sound as long as you will be pushing the button.

Currently there are three american style whistles added. More sounds and models are planned together with bells and horns.

Thanks to Johnbeere for the klaxon model.

Usage hints:
- The whistles use the remote rope script, same as the steam engines, control drums, etc. Every whistle has three channels with customizable bindings so you can use 3 independent whistles simultaneously.
- Due to the nature of the script the pushing and releasing buttons are defined as separate controls. Make sure they use the same binding for best experience.

How kind! Thank you! Now they all work, and their sounds are just adorable!

Hm, just tested them right now and they seem to work normally. I was very recently uploading some updates, making the bell animated, so i may have messed something up with the detectors, but it should be fixed now.

Please resubscribe to the mod (to force update) and try again. If it still doesn't please let me know.

These whistles look ultra cool!
I fear, however, to have some issues in operating them: while I can highlight the bell and the clacson, and conseguently take their control by pressing the "F" key, the whistles instead seem uninteractable: I can only pick them up but, no matter the angle, I cannot highlight them. Are there some tricks that I'm missing about operating these components?

ok cool

Bells will be added too at some point. I just need to model them properly.

Now we need bells

also, for that users problem, I had that when first getting the game. you need to wait a long time for it to load everything for the first time, then every load after that should be considerably faster. it usually freezes at 22% and 99%, but it should still be loading.

Ooooh, this is something i've wanted from the start, excited to use it!
