Metronom

As one of the first large private railway companies, the metronom Eisenbahngesellschaft (originally MetroRail) appeared on the scene in the early 2000s. It was founded as a special purpose association of several companies owned by the federal states of Bremen, Hamburg and Lower Saxony specifically for regional express transport on the Bremen - Hamburg and Göttingen - Hanover - Uelzen - Hamburg routes. In the meantime, the Lower Elbe railway from Cuxhaven to Hamburg was also served by Metronom. The rolling stock is provided by the vehicle pool of the Landesnahverkehrsgesellschaft Niedersachen (LNVG) and includes the following vehicles:

• 10 TRAXX 1 (P160 AC1)
  
• 17 TRAXX 2 (P160 AC2)
  
• 8 TRAXX (P160 DE)
  
• 220 Bombardier fourth generation double-decker cars

Over the years the appearance has changed again and again. This package offers the corresponding paint finishes for the respective car and locomotive types. In addition, over the years there have been special stickers and advertising foils for locomotives and cars. They are also all included in this package.

Metronom Eisenbahngesellschaft purchased 10 BR 146.1 locomotives together with the first double-decker coaches from 2003 onwards. These have been in service on the Hamburg - Bremen and Hamburg - Hanover - Göttingen lines since the start of operations.

When several electric locomotives broke down, it had become necessary to rent external locomotives to maintain operations. For this reason, machines from third-party companies were used several times over a longer period of time and then the company logo was applied to them accordingly.

For use in the regional network of Lower Saxony, the LNVG (Landesnahverkehrsgesellschaft) Niedersachsen first purchased 8 locomotives (146-11 to 146-18) of the type P160AC2 from Bombardier for use with metronom Nahverkehrsgesellschaft on various regional lines in and around Lower Saxony. A little later, a further 9 146.2 were ordered from Bombardier (146 531-539) which also run for metronom. 146 541 and 542 were once built for the Inbetriebnahmegesellschaft Transporttechnik (IGT), but since 2013 they also belong to LNVG.

For operation on the Lower Elbe Railway (Hamburg-Cuxhaven), the Lower Saxony Regional Transport Company (LNVG) purchased 11 locomotives of type P160 DE in 2005, which are listed under the series numbers 246 001 - 011. 246 001 and 246 010 were sold to HVLE at the end of 2011. The remaining locomotives went to Start Unterelbe GmbH in December 2018 with the change of operator.

In 2002/2003 the first 10 sets were delivered from Görlitz for the start of operations. These still consisted exclusively of high entry middle cars. Only the driving trailers had deep entrances. It was not until later delivery series, among other things for the Lower Elbe Railway to Cuxhaven, that middle cars with deep access were ordered. Some of these cars are equipped with bicycle compartments.

Within the scope of various events and special assignments, there were several individual items in the fleet of Metronom double-decker cars. These were only on display for a short period of time.

Due to the large number of variants, some can be switched off via mod options. The available settings are:

• Third parties: This setting (de)activates the variants of the start and evb.
  
• Hired locomotives: This setting (de)activates the variants of the rented locomotives.
  
• Special liveries of locomotives: This setting activates all metronome advertising locomotives. However, the metronome locomotives from the Traxx main sets remain available.
  
• Fake variants: This setting activates the fake variants of the locomotives.
  
• Secondary variants of wagons: This setting activates the train of ideas, the metro-nom painting and the variants without logos.
  
• Special liveries of wagons: This setting activates all special wraps of the double-decker cars.

The mod options can be adjusted with the Common API 2 in the game, manually by adjusting the settings.lua and in the future with the TPFMM2.
