** This is TROM submod, don't use it on Vanilla version of TW:TK **
I uploaded vanilla version of Warlords, but that mod won't get deeply playtested by me. read description below(no.4).

1. What is this mod?

This mod makes game more harder and more interesting in reasonable ways.
It changes how AI acts/decides, and spread buffs among strong warlords, randomly decided for specific region.

If you struggles on vanilla/TROM very hard/legendary difficulty, this mod is not for you.
This mod is not for beginners. this mod is for players who wants challenges, or experienced Total war players.

Recommend Very hard difficulty first, if you played Legendary difficulty on total war games.
DON'T try legendary difficulty first. don't recommend it because I made that difficulty more harder than usual.
AI buff will stack on legendary difficulty so game will be more harder.


* Here is a addon that makes legendary AI bonus applied in Very Hard campaign.
It is for whom couldn't play legendary difficulty because of the auto-save function.

2. What does this mod exactly modifies game?

this mod changes AI behaviors / AI diplomacy / AI Army task.

- AI factions will get different bonus based on their historical power, and Player's faction(Nemesis system)
Scripted Buff system makes AI faction got randomly selected among them.
(eg. Yuan vs Gong Sun / Dong vs Ma)

- AI factions will concentrate their power to get the lands nearby.
Vanilla AI doesn't care about get lands and grow their power based on lands.
what they do is just attack 'main threat' and try their luck on kill their 'main threat'
so, If player gets enough land and can overcome AI's attack, the game is auto-win after that.
In Warlords, AI will get their land and try to become 'strongest faction' and wins the game.

- Many AI Anti-player mechanism got cut down to reasonable level. they will suggest diplomatic deal first.


3. What could player expect from this mod

- More difficult game than normal TROM / normal TW:TK.
- AI which aggressively expands their border, but not only against player, also other AI factions
- progressively interesting campaign against BIG, STRONG main AI factions
- No more too much anti-player behavior (like sending army only for player, while not defend themselves)

and various changes that modify diplomacy / vanilla AI strange behaviors.
there is no room to write them all on this page. because I made so many small adjustment.



4. Why this mod is only for TROM Overhaul?

I made this mod for TROM because TROM made the great foundation to build up campaign overhaul.

If you want to play this mod on vanilia, I have uploaded Trimmed version of TROM Warlords which deletes all of TROM unit data, but I didn't playtested much of Trimmed version.
this Trimmed version will be updated when I make some core change to TROM Warlords.

* it is recommend to use AI army template mod (because this trimmed mod don't have any unit data for vanilla),
AI increased experience mod, some faster reform / faster unit reform mods.
Just use what you want to use, but not with AI buff / AI change mods.

5. Compatibility
- non compatible with any other AI mods.
- non compatible with any other diplomacy mods
- non compatible with any other difficulty mods : buffs will stack, and will make game 'literally unplayable'

compatible with other Graphical/UI/Events/QoL/etc.

Hi ! I did not see any thread to report bugs, so here is one:
In my campaign as Shi Xie, using the "Grant familly Independance" option in the court tab does create a new faction, but this faction doesn't become my vassal. (losing all the point of doing it). It works without the mod.

Any chances for an update for 194 timeline? It is a popular one among 3Q enjoyers
