Hamilton Harbour Big Freight and Commuter Lines WIP

I thought I would post this as a WIP to perhaps inspire others and encourage you to take this , keep working on it and make it your own.

If you do use and re-post it please acknowledge the hard work of Hammaneggs and myself that went into it so far.

My inspiration for this came from Hammaneggs posting his partially finished Industrial Layout a few weeks ago. I took it and made it MUCH larger to try to model the Hamilton, Ontario harbour and some of the surrounding areas including big freight yards that feed the Dofasco Steel works and three GO Train stations.

For a taste of what I am planning for this, the main line through Hamilton is known as one of the busiest in North America with approx 75 daily trains. Given the position on the tip of Lake Ontario, it handles a large percentage of the trade between the US and Canada. The other thing I hope to profile in the finished layout is this a legitimate place where you may see trains from Canadian National, VIA Rail, CP Rail, GO Transit, Amtrak and other US and Canada freight and passenger carriers.
I used Google earth extensively to inspire some of the features. I posted a shot of what it looks like in RL from above.

I will continue to post occasional updates to the WIP file as I can. Right now, there are very few livery items in the layout, I will try to identify the Mod Files for the liveries that are there and add them to this post.

In the mean time, I hope you are able to enjoy this and keep adding to it to make it your own.
