Compatibility

If you see An critical error occured while patching game! warning after starting the game you need to close the game and Steam client completely then start Steam and the game in that order.

If you run the game before Steam client (e.g. using game shortcut) Steam client will interrupt patching and the mod won't work until you restart Steam.

Temporary solution: Always run Steam client first before you run the game.
If doesn't helped add a comment with a link to the logs zip archive you can create using button in FPS Booster options

@caddywonkus I think you made some mistake performing tests. See, it's the Patch loader that is applying Skyve's patches and then the Skyve is able to exclude mods, not the other way around. If Patch Loader doesn't work correctly (cannot load Skyve patches) "exclude" will not work, hence why the mod is required. Same for FPS Booster, it includes special patches that must be processed before you see the game launch animation screen and without them literally nothing will happen because the applied patch itself bootstraps the rest of the "fps boost" logic and once you see animation screen it's too late to change anything.

While investigating another mod I found that this one does not respect Skyve's "exclude" of other mods. FPS Booster is another that lists this as a dependency (only other one I have that does - and I have most of the popular mods). I had it excluded (not just disabled). This loaded it anyway, said so in output_log.txt. I had to unsub it entirely instead. Not a big deal, and it ended up having nothing to do with what I was troubleshooting of course, just FYI. Dunno if it's something that can be dealt with or even needs to be.

@StevenAviation it's not this mod, but your Skyve profile finally starts working correctly or broke some time ago and you didn't notice. This mod doesn't change anything by itself. It's processing other mods requests, so check other mods, in this case the only mod I know that is using this one as dependency is Skyve, and it definitely can exclude mods and assets when game is loading.

Why does this mod just exclude assets that I use in my city.. I get that its to exclude mods that have issues while loading but it's straight up ruining my city.

@JJoole which means that Skyve mod you have probably installed too, finally starts working correctly. This mod is also required for Skyve so it can properly disable (prevent loading) selected mods (excluded mods in Skyve are still subscribed on Steam but will not load).
Check Skyve settings.

This mod doesn't work with Prop Control, Visibility Control, Tree Control or Line Tool for me. As soon as I use this, the other mods disappear from the game even though I'm still subscribed to them on steam

@lai290 it is compatible. Why do you think it's this mod? I can tell you it's not making it incompatible, but maybe you know something I don't.
