Description
Description
-The Destroyer extends the USR Heavy line with a ship bristling with turrets and built around ranged offensive capability. Its optimum attack is broadside bombardment from range and it must be stationary to maximize its accuracy. Captains must be aware that at close range, the ship and its turrets cannot react quickly enough to be effective and the ship is best deployed at range for use as fire support.-
-Ingame Description-

The Destroyer is a battleship with hard-hitting long range weapons and thick armor, not to mention an intimidating size. Able to outrange and out-damage other Heavy-class ships, the Destroyer makes an excellent counter against the other big ships and against some Medium-class ships like the Pioneer. However her cannons turn slowly, making her vulnerable to the faster ships like Enforcers and Ghosts. The ship is also slow and a large target, making her easy pickings for Overseers and Watchmen. Lastly, its cannons do not have equal ranges of coverage, so unless presenting her broadside the Destroyer cannot bring its full firepower to bear.

10 triple barreled cannon turrets (2.5km AI range/6.5km manual)
8 Destroyer missile launchers (10km range)
6 Gatling Turrets
Hangar space for bombers or fighters

Equipment
Refineries, Assemblers, Jump Drives, 3 Large Reactors, Medbay, Large Containers, Connectors, Oxygen/hydrogen storage and production

This ship is 1:4 scale. Almost 100% light armor. The interior is kinda WIP and designed with 0g in mind. It's mostly survival ready but not really well designed except to look really nice? I guess?

Turrets
AI
The gun turrets are locked by default, they need to be unlocked using "1" and will automatically target anything with 2.5km. To allow for proper sequential fire search for the slaving programming block and hit "run"
Manual
To manually take control of the turrets enter the appropriate control seat, disable the rotor locks, disable the slaving programming block, turn off the rotors, turn on the "turret gyros" group and access the remote control of your desired turret

Yeah, every time I look at this build I get major nostalgia from playing that. Easily my second favorite F2P after TF2.
