Played it for the first time.
The random quests are obnoxious. It would have been much more manageable if for certain random quests if you could pack for example: the farmer shirt, pants and pitch fork all into one smaller space bundle and hand that bundle in.
The fish quests are terrible and very very very boring. I did not enjoy sitting in front of a pond for 20 minutes just to hand in a quest that barely gives any reward.
It would have been nice if there was a safe on the floating island to put your quest items in. It would not be very useful in multiplayer as other players can steal your stuff but for single player it would have been nice to have a spot to put your quest items.
I fully understood the paper hints and was able to use them to find the keycards without looking up a guide. Similarly I did find the big J character without looking up a guide, it just took a few tries to notice the key. I enjoyed these parts.
Mall should not have 2 military loot spawn locations. It just doesn't need it and one of them already spawns enough ammo. I wish there was a movie theater instead. They always look cool in video games.
The worst part of mall is probably the small cult room at the top of the stairway. Its loot is painfully bad and its not next to any important loot spawns.
The wanted poster mission is far too vague. This was the only quest I had to look up on a walk through. Do something similar to the key cards, maybe once you start the quest by picking up the first poster, spawn 4 pages right next to it and give them backstory like maybe one talks about the guy in the poster getting bullied at the park or some kind of lore hints.
The yellow portal is the worst part of the entire game. Having a switch you can flip to turn off previous platforms that you have already passed to remove their slipplyness would have made it far more tolerable. I did not think to bring a glider because no one told me too. Like the guy who hands out the quest says you should bring food and ammo but doesnt say anything about bringing something to glide in the air. Was this even tested? I took so long that the background completely disappeared and I was left in the void with a few glowing platforms. I give it an honest shot, I kept trying over and over for maybe what felt like 2 hours but ultimately I had to reset and die to go grab a glider. Seriously upload this portals second part to the workshop, dont give out any gliders and see how many people say they hate it. Look at that, I completed it first try with the glider. Oh, theres a golden feather. That would been nice in the LAST section.
