Description







MegaTerrarium is a fan made expansion, this mod brings the foundations for terrarium use, such as code, equipment and scenery. Mods that add terrestrial animals among many others require this mod to work. This mod DOES NOT add animals at all.

Plants keep good air quality ! Are you a good gardener?

Terrarium heaters: They require empty adjacent space to work full capacity.

Humidity: Desertic and Rainforest animals require different humidity levels. Humidity uses FF's pH system to work.




New additions: Comple Mod Overhaul: Version 3.0 out !

  • 99% of the scenery got shiny new models ! Scenery now match vanilla art style.
  • Plants are now live plants and have care needs, they also keep a good air quality !
  • New Terrarium: Tunnel Terrarium, the ultimate terrarium that guests can walk inside.
  • New Terrarium equipment, new models, new mechanics!
  • Over 20 new scenery !
  • Terrariums now have air capacity.... (Foreshadowing!)
  • Good news! Deep Freeze is fully implemented!
  • Bad news! Deep Freeze is fully implemented and therefore is needed to use the mod...
  • New posters! Old posters got new textures.

Tweaks and bug fixing VERSION 3.0

  • Equipment stats changed to fit the new update
  • Fixed a terrarium having a non usable corner





As a framework mod, no animals are included.

While Freshwater Frenzy is listed as a mandatory, after the 3.0 update players will need ALL DLCS in order to run the mod.

If you want to make an animal compatible with the mod or that uses the mod, you have my authorization to do so.
To consider:

Terrariums use their own host tag. Host tag: Terrarium
Saltwater = Arid (sand ground)
Freshwater = Temperate/Tropical (dirt ground)
Humidity: 70-95 % (acidic), 40-70 (acidic/neutral), <40% (neutral)

ATTENTION: If you are unable to see the terrarium exclusive equipment (heater, fan, airpump, etc.) go to your in-game modlist and put diverse diets at the VERY bottom. This gives diverse diets priority if there's a mod conflict and then put this mod right above it. Don't forget to reload too!

don't bother, the vanilla anaconda doesn't have this issue. The animal was made with the beach island tank in mind and only the tank. Putting snakes in smaller exhibits that don't have islands result on that levitation bug. It's only visual, as long as you look from above it's fine (99% of time people use the top view)

Known bug, the snake levitation is due how the snake coil behaviour is coded, can't do much

There currently seem to be some compatibility issues with vibrant vivariums, from my brief testing I could see that that mods snakes for example float a couple feet off the ground and don’t move.

Whats also strange is the vivariums terrariums work, but also accept your creatures and they work fine in those terrariums. I've tried setting up multiple of the terrariums from this mod and they just flat out disappear. (Should be noted I got vivarium after)

@Khaydar Yes, I made sure and I still have the ability to make terrariums and have all the creatures and things like AC.

When I load my saves for this mod all my terrariums disappear completely

Do you have FF or DF content toggled off when you start a new map? The window with settings when you start a new map/game/playthoriugh has options to enable/disable dlc content
