Description
Terrifying creatures, Banshees are advanced pressure units leading a Reaper strike force.

Introduces the Banshee
The Banshee is a new enemy that joins the fight against XCOM.

New Content
  • New Enemy: The Banshee will appear in the late game as a traditional enemy.

Abilities
Banshees offer incredible offensive and mental aptitude capable of shattering even the most veteran soldiers.
  • Force Level: 15

  • Terrifying Presence - The Banshee's existence alone will sow panic.
    • Faith Breaker: All soldiers in visual sight of the Banshee must periodically make a will-check to resist panicking.

  • Impale - Known for grotesque executions, the Banshee's razor sharp slash is a fatal blow to withstand.
    • Critical Chance: Guaranteed Critical Hit.

  • Rending Claws - Surviving a slash from the Banshee will rend the flesh of organic units.
    • Bleeding: Damage per turn to those rended.

  • Biotic Barrier - Banshees are vested with biotic energy. Their barrier protects from damage, and regenerates even when destroyed.
    • Regeneration: Regenerate Shielding per Turn

  • Psionic Stability - Due to their biotic roots, Banshees are immune to mental impairments.

  • Approaching Dread - Banshees are slower than their counterparts; use this knowledge strategically.

Additional Details
This will seamlessly integrate into a current or new campaign.

The enemy is fully customizable primarily within the configuration files "XCOM_Customize_This_Mod" and "XComGameData_CharacterStats"

Would recommend using with the 'Reaper Forces' or 'Reaper Raiders' sitreps to address low spawn chances.

Hi! Anyone else have a problem with Reaper Banshee that it does not spawn? Two campaigns without Banshee spawn. Cleaning config done etc. Any tips/advice? I can spawn it from console command but not normal spawning happen.

Lol, yeah I will try the config edit. I just remembered having to face off against 2 in a Mass Effect mission and how hard it was. But after triggering another pod ,while trying to retreat from her in a recent mission, the challenge/ hurt was there.

Appreciate it! You are welcome to adjust the toughness of the enemy within the supplied config file if you're interested in customization. Initial design is very much a glass cannon unit - if it gets close it does decent damage, but I could see how it can be focused down quickly.

@ the modders - Great design, great abilities, but Banshee is not tough enough. It's too easy to beat her by herself in a pod. Maybe add a second Banshee to the pod?

After seeing all these mods makes me wana wait to play XCOM again until they are finished...there was a mod that replaced the loading screens with the one from ME2(3)? of the Normandy. That would be a nice touch.
