Amtrak SW1000R

Description
(Requires the A Trains SW1200 Collection by THE PAIN TRAIN!!).

The SW1000R is a switcher locomotive used by Amtrak to move passenger cars around in their yards. Nine of the SW1000R’s were originally built as SW9’s, with one more being converted from an ex-Milwaukee SW1200. All 10 engines were acquired by Amtrak in 1994, with rebuilding carried out by National Railway Equipment Company.

In the case of Amtrak 795, she started life as Milwaukee Road No. 707, and was originally built in 707. Following her rebuild she was sent to work at the 8th Street yard in Los Angeles, California. As of 2017, the locomotive is still working for Amtrak.
