Description
Auckland Transport is an organisation run by Auckland Council, and it operates the commuter trains, buses and ferries (but, most importantly, trains) in New Zealand’s largest city. AT was founded on November 1st, 2010, when it took over from the A.R.T.A. (Auckland Regional Transport Authority).

Today Auckland’s rail network has 41 stations served by four ‘lines’. The central hub of the network is Britomart, an underground station opened in 2003, and one that’s located right at the foot of Queen Street in central Auckland. The four lines’ names and termini are as follows:

Eastern Line - Britomart to Manukau (via Glen Innes)
Southern Line - Britomart to Papakura (via Newmarket)
Onehunga Branch - Britomart to Onehunga
Western Line - Britomart to Swanson (includes a reversal at Newmarket)

There’s also the diesel-only shuttle from Papakura to Pukekohe, which is branded as an extension of the Southern Line. The diesel units that run this service are the ex-Perth ADL class, which were built in 1981 and arrived in Auckland in 1993.

The electric units in use north of Papakura are the AM class. 57 of these 3-car units were built by CAF between 2013 and 2015. The units draw electricity from overhead wires, with the network being electrified at 25,000 volts AC. The first AM entered service on the Onehunga Branch in April 2014 and - by July 2015 - the entire network north of Papakura had had their diesel locomotives (and rebuilt ex-BR Mk2 coaches) replaced by these electric units.

While a fleet of 57 units was the original intention, a 2nd batch of AM’s was ordered in 2019. This new batch comprises a further 15 units, all of which have now arrived in Auckland. The first batch’s unit numbers were AM 103 to AM 714, while the 2nd batch are numbered from AM 810 onwards. I don’t currently know the highest number of an AM, but it’s past AM 958.

This re-skin is based on the livery carried by the AM’s, and carries the number of a real-life Class 150. That being unit 150213, which was built in 1986 and is now part of Transport for Wales’ fleet.

I was that type of person, but after a) a lot of thinking on my end and b) talking with people on Discord, I've abandoned that old attitude.

I have already made this, but I am not the type of person who complains as I did not make up the livery.
