This SV is an update to an existing blueprint but I decided to keep the original and release this SV as a separate build. The Waverider SV got an interior overhaul and is now 4g capable.

Alpha Canon information:

“The Waverider was an atmospheric shuttlecraft in service aboard Federation Nova-class starships. Unlike other auxiliary craft, the Waverider was not stowed in a shuttlebay, but was instead docked to the ventral side of the primary hull, just forward of the ship's primary navigational deflector.
[…] the Waverider could reach speeds in excess of Mach 12. Designed similarly to a runabout, the vessel had a cockpit, a miniature science lab, emergency transporter, sleeping facilities, and even a foldaway biobed.”

Since the Waverider Alpha Canon footage only shows the bottom of the Waverider attached to the Saucer of the Nova there is Gamma Canon (non-official) information needed to figure out how it looks like.
I preferred the version which is based on the Type 11 Shuttle fuselage, just with pulled in Warp Nacelles and huge wings added. Based on that I now decided to mimic some interior features of the Type 11 Shuttle.


The Waverider EO Is for Extended Operations outside of reach from its assigned ship and/or any resupply station. It features a 4-crew research setup with crew beds. The craft is also capable to withstand higher gravity planets or moons. Offense and Defense capabilities are also worth mentioning.

Signals:

!!! Do not use the regular Shield switch in Main Menu alone, that will overload generators and might damage them. Use one of the signals below instead for shield and generators to function as intended in this build.

Red Alert – Interior Light changes to Red, shields and AUX Generators activate, Weapons deploy

Yellow Alert - Interior Light changes to Yellow, shields and AUX Generators activate

AwayDefense – triggers shield, generators and turrets

Shield&AuxGen - triggers shield and AUX generators

Power Save:
- switches off all lights regardless of other signal states
- deactivates constructors, RCS, and spot lights, WiFi Connections, some sensors
- If no shield or weapon related signal has been activated, only one generator will remain active

NAV & ACL – triggers Nav Lights and Anti-Collision Beacons
