Hello everyone, third iteration of my gear blocks mod.
Currently supported on mod.io too: Gear Mod[spaceengineers.mod.io]

Current version: 3.1

The mod adds a set of blocks that allow you to build gear systems in Space Engineers.
Current blocks:
*** Small grid:
* Legacy blocks:
- Gear 3x3x1 15 teeth
- Gear 1x1x1 5 teeth
- Gear Rail 1x3x1 4 teeth
- Gear Pinion

* Module 0.06m blocks:
- Gear 1x1x1 8 teeth Spur.
- Gear 3x3x1 24 teeth Spur. (split in two parts: Base, Top)
- Gear 5x5x1 40 teeth Spur. (split in two parts: Base, Top)
- Gear 1x1x1 8 teeth Bevel. (connect to the same gear)
- Gear 1x1x1 8to24 teeth Bevel. (connect to 24to8 teeth spur)
- Gear 3x3x1 24to8 teeth Bevel. (connect to 8to24 teeth spur, split in two parts: Base, Top)
- Gear 1x3x1 8 teeth Rack.
- Gear 10cm Beam.
- Gear 10cm Linear Bearing (Pseudo)

*** Large grid:
* Module 0.30m blocks:
- Gear 1x1x1 8 teeth Spur.
- Gear 3x3x1 24 teeth Spur. (split in two parts: Base, Top)
- Gear 5x5x1 40 teeth Spur. (split in two parts: Base, Top)
- Gear 1x3x1 8 teeth Rack.
- Gear 10cm Beam.
- Gear 10cm Linear Bearing (Pseudo)

All the gears in the same section are compatible with each other, different sections aren't.
They aren't too tight as you'd expect from real world gears, but they do their job.
The second and third group, Module 0.06m and 0.30m, is modeled after actual gear math, and they are tigther than their predecessors.
They have working collision models and are paintable too.
They have LODs and building stages, fully survival compatible and hopefully performance friendly.

It's not related, but what's with people talking like they're from 400BCE? It isn't strictly for this comment section either, but I just see a whole lot of broken english in Space Engineers comment's sections.

@hitnec BTW this "Mechanic" DOES exist.. the devs gave you shapes right? use them and make cogs from blocks its not hard

Supposed to use same size blocks. If try mix large with small doesnt work. Its mentioned some where in discription.

Any plans on updating collision boxes of the designs? A few of the large gear variants are really clunky and have issues with the smaller gears meshing. The largest gear has hitbox issues allowing you to walk right through the center of the gear and its very difficult to place the sides of the gear onto it.
