The Stars Above is a Terraria expansion mod that adds a wide variety of content and a new important game mechanic:
the Starfarer system. The Stars Above guarantees a unique experience for any playthrough with new bosses, new areas to explore, and a focus on buildcrafting and player diversity.

The Stars Above's flagship feature: Meet Asphodene and Eridani, masters of Astral and Umbral respectively.
Empowered by their strength and led by their guidance, you will be able to challenge any foe Terraria has to offer. These charismatic deuteragonists boast tons of unique dialogue for bosses, biomes, and more. (However, if you don't care for it, most dialogue can be disabled in the Mod Settings!)
As of v2.1, enjoy over 100+ voice lines by Kiera Rhodes, giving life to the Starfarer's conversations!






Obtain extraordinary weapons with layers of strategy and myriad powers to overwhelm your foes. Weapons are incredibly unique and can be adjusted to any damage class- including features such as charged attacks, timed counters, energy gauges, and more. Brandish beloved weapons from your favorite game franchises re-imagined into the world of Terraria.






Master the Stellar Array, a powerful supplement to player growth.
With 24 powerful passive abilities separated into 3 distinct tiers, you can mix and match to become the strongest Terrarian- buildcraft and skill expression tailored to any playthrough.
Your Starfarer has influence on what abilities you have available!






Defeat nine powerful unique bosses boasting a custom AI system:
Casted Attacks. Adapt and learn to defeat these formidable enemies!

A new system added in The Stars Above v2.0, Weapon Memories are unique items obtained throughout game progression that can be slotted into Aspected Weapons. Give weapons Summon Tag Damage, gain buffs when killing foes, cause lightning to strike from your attacks, gain active abilities to change the tide of battle, and much more!






Explore a brand new biome in the Underworld complete with new unique loot, armor, and foes. The shining towers of the Neon Veil provide an incredibly unique new environment to explore- and a way to upgrade your Stellar Novas with unique set bonuses for even more buildcraft potential.






Explore the Moirae Galaxy through a brand-new system added in The Stars Above: Celestial Cartography. With the help of Subworld Library, obtain rare materials, powerful accessories, and more.

As of tModLoader 1.4.4, multiplayer Subworld transit is now possible!
Keep in mind that there may still be issues with the system; if you do encounter said issues, you can enable Multiplayer Compatbility Mode in the Serverside Settings to revert to the old system.

Turn Aspected weapons to Rogue Damage from Calamity, or Symphonic/Radiant/Throwing Damage from Thorium!

Your Starfarers will have unique dialogue for content from the following mods:
Calamity, Secrets of the Shadows, Verdant, Fargo's Souls, the Spirit Mod, Starlight River, Calamity: Wrath of the Gods, and the Thorium Mod. More will come soon!
Additionally, some separate scaling is present for the Calamity Mod. (This can be disabled in the Mod Settings.)
