Shek Bandit Faction, Horned Devils!

Description
Adds roaming bands of powerful bandits in the Norther part of the map, Great Desert included. The Horned Devils are rogue group of Shek warriors lead by General Stein from the remote town of Farlstag. They are easily identifiable by their red uniforms and horned helmets and are extremely aggressive.

Recruit bands have skills in the 30s, while veteran Devils are in the 55s and Champions in the 70s. Take care when fighting them, as they are skilled and wear heavy armour.

They have hefty bounties on their heads from all the major factions.

They will raid you in the majority of the northern part of the map in an exponential fashion. Expect each new raid to get stronger. If you lose one, they will reset and start the escalation again. Be prepared as they will get hard, but you should have more than enough time to prepare.
To stop them, you'll have to travel north-west to the remote town of Farlstag and defeat their leader, General Stein. The place is a heavily defended fortress, recommended only for the best and better armoured squads.
After the Generl is taken out it won't be over yet, as the general's right hand man will take his place - permanently if you can't kill him on his revenge strike or on a second outing.

You are free to make and release a patch that removes NWDM dependency, it shouldn't be too difficult but I'm not in the mood right now.

I just want to say I tried it and did not like having all those NWDM weps just to use this mod. So I also hope there will be a non-NWDM version of this mod. Helmet is cool though.

The Horned Bandits finally have a base to assault to take them out. It's not as straightforward as it seems, though.

Oh ok. I don't remember if I made a non-NWDM for them. If I didn't you can go ahead and make a patch if you wish and either publish it or just edit them out for yourself. Or maybe I'll make one eventually, but I don't know when I'll be able to get around to do it.

it's just that I didn't want to use that big mod pack anymore so I was sticking to the standalones :kabuki:

I can link them if I used them, sure, but again, I'm pretty sure I didn't use standalones nor I plan to update to use them cause it works well with NWDM. It's been a while, but I think they can spawn with various Planks, Fragment Axes, Kanasaibou and the likes, some maces and swords as sidearms but no cleavers.

I made standalones for the huge cleaver and that one fake religious cane sword. I could see about doing others that the author didn't do yet
