Description

Current version: 1.0b
Please refer to the changelog for patch notes.

This mod changes the colors of the emissives on all blocks. Emissives are the glowy bits indicating a block's status. In vanilla these are extremely saturated. This mod desaturates them to achieve a less cartoon-y look and attempting to emulate the colors in use in the render on the thumbnail.

AQD - A Quantum of Depth is a project of mine, encompassing multiple small and larger mods aimed at improving the gameplay experience and eventually overhauling larger parts of the game:

Desaturated Emissive Colors
Emissive colors on all blocks have been altered to be less saturated.

  • Some mods set emissive colors manually. This generally results in the colors being set to the vanilla emissive values, and not the ones this mod introduces. There's unfortunately not much that can be done about that.

@Enenra thank you for the quick reply/explanation!

The CS file applies the changes of emissive colors to all blocks. Without it, the mod does not work.

My mod does not contain any changes to Environment.sbc so it would be compatible with a mod of yours that edits it. There's no need to include it within the mod. A much better way to handle it if you want my mod to always apply when yours is installed, is to set my mod as a dependency through Steam's "Required Items"-system.
