More Character Names (For all 24 races)

Description
About More Character Names (about 7,600 total new names)

Tired of seeing heroes and lords with the same name? This mod adds a huge amount of lore friendly names into the name pool for ALL FACTIONS for both the player and the AI. Some factions have received 2x or 3x as many names as the vanilla game. Non player factions also take advantage of the new names, so you won't see 15 Norscan or Chaos lords all named "Ragnulf Harmaphone" duplicated like you would see in vanilla.

All of these names were reviewed before being added to this mod to ensure there are no duplicates and that the names fit with the 'themes' that CA and GW has chosen for each faction.

I've added a ton more names since I created the thumbnail artwork, well surpassed the 700 initial names for the playable factions. Now expanded to all the factions. We just need Immortal Empires!

Please like and favorite if you enjoy this mod to help it be visible to others!

*Gender note - some factions use the genders for different purposes, like naming special characters. Even for factions with only one gender (such as Ogre Kingdoms).

Future Update Plans:
The next update will expand the Last Names and the Clan/Nick Names. Once I learn exactly how the Khorne summoned armies work I will expand their name pool as well (they only have ~15 now).

Compatibility & Old Versions of Mod:
This should work with basically every other mod ever made. It only touches a loc file and adds new names_table entries.

Behind the Curtain/How Its' Made:
CA/GW links names of factions pretty closely to actual human cultures throughout history. By identifying the 'theme' of a factions name (such as Tomb Kings = New Kingdom era Egypt) the mod is able to use names from all previous Total War games that fit that culture and theme. For historical cultures don't have many first names, and for factions with made up names like Nurgle or Skaven or Ogres the existing Warhammer names were fed into a machine learning tool to identify what components and sounds make up those names - then generates an output. All of these outputs are reviewed to make sure they don't have duplicates or total gibberish (except for some deamon names which are intended by CA to be a little bit gibberish lol)

Contributions and Learning How To Mod:
- Russian translation provided by Gosudar can be found HERE
- Huge thanks to Snek for contributing a list of names (first and last) that he worked on for a personal WH2 mod!
- GunKing WH2 name mods which helped learn the right tables to use.
- Anyone is free to use these names in other mods or other projects.
- If you are interested in learning how to mod yourself, join the Discord at Da Modding Den and say goodby to all of your free time!

Currently this seems to also affect some legendary lords. For instance, I booted up a Skulltaker campaign and Skulltaker was now "Leudagar".

Cool - if only for a fact that it renames my Legendary Lord as well. Gor Rok is called Jorhul now. LoL.

CA fixed the upper case letters problem. All good now.

@Vin Diesel: yes, it is out. :)
@LordHECS: Pack File Manager, with that tool you can check/modify pack files (mods are in pack files) (https://github.com/Frodo45127/rpfm/releases)

@Tereus I believe CA in the new update made any capital letters in the db cause a crash
LordHECS 26 Mar @ 4:03pm
what is rpfm?
Tereus 26 Mar @ 3:11am
Great! I also tried to check the pack file, but I did not find this. @Shaggy: how did you figured it out this is the problem?
Gonzobald 26 Mar @ 12:52am
thank you @Shaggy

Hi! I just got the mod working on my local with 6.10.

The simple solution is to rename [MOD_VERSIONS].txt to [mod_versions].txt with rpfm.

Hopefully this helps both you, Beans, and any industrious user of this mod <3

Same issue as the poster below - crashes the game after 6.1.0
