Description
A version of Cities of Wonders (originally made by Kurthakon [RIP]) updated for CleanSlate

Changes from original Cities of Wonders mod:
  • Baghdad starts with a City of Wonders by default, with full history

Fully compatible with Ancient Religions Reborn for CleanSlate, Seduction & Romance Revamped for CleanSlate, Chinese Caliphates for CleanSlate, Cybrixkhan's Immersion Packs for CleanSlate, Culture, Building, & Retinue Tweaks for CleanSlate, Warrior Societies for CleanSlate, Jewish Kings & Jewish Immersion for CleanSlate, & and with any other CleanSlate mods I put out in the future.

Files overwritten:
  • base_battle_events.txt (account for COW districts)
  • base_siege_events.txt (account for COW districts)
  • HF_religious_events.txt (account for COW districts)
  • LT_wonder_flavor_events.txt (account for COW districts)
  • LT_wonder_flavor_event_2.txt (account for COW districts)
  • mnm_smith_events.txt (account for COW districts)
  • 08_custom_loc_wonder_setup.txt (account for COW districts)
  • The history files for the provinces of Cordoba, Rome, Syracuse, Athens, Constantinople, Shiraz (Persepolis), Baghdad, Antioch, Jerusalem, Alexandria, & Tunis (Carthage) (historical Cities of Wonders)

As Kurthakon has unfortunately passed on, I was unable to get his permission to make this update; his sister pre-emptively gave permission to use his work so long as we credit him. If she sees this & wishes me to take this down, I will do so.

Just wanted to thank you for your effort keeping these mods compatible with the equally worthwhile CleanSlate project. This is really appreciated (at least by me, which I know it's not much, but still, lol)

If CK2+ has different province IDs from CleanSlate, then the unique Cities of Wonders will be in the wrong places; furthermore, both mods overwrite some of the same files, so stuff from one mod or another will break if you run both together. It shouldn't crash the game, though.

No; If you're using CleanSlate, this mod is all you need. The original mod is only needed if you aren't using CleanSlate
