Mod Version: v1.11

Hertz dynamic movement range is a small mod that edits the movement range of all armies based on their army setup and army size. Heavier units such as artillery will slow your army down while cavalry will speed your armies up.

(This mod is save-game compatible)



Feed me ratings, I crave sustenance.




Dynamic Movement Range
Movement bonuses are capped at -20% and +20% movement range according to army size and setup.

Small armies will be able to move further than before.

Full 20 stacks have -5% movement range with a perfectly balanced army setup.

Having a large number of cavalry in your army will increase your movement range.

Having a large number of artillery will decrease your movement range.

(This mod is save-game compatible)



Does this work with X overhaul?
Yes this mod works with any custom faction or overhaul.



Does the AI use this?
Yes the AI also has dynamic movement range

Shouldn't Cavalry slow an army down on the campaign map? Infantry have always had stronger strategic (campaign map) maneuverability since humans on the march can outdistance horses over long periods of time.

If you ever update this, consider allowing users to configure the bonus through MCT.

I feel the bonuses are too small to really make an impact, and I had full cavalry armies.

Great idea. I think increasing the percentages both ways even more would be amazing. I feel like a full cavalry army should move at least 100% as far as infantry in the same time

great mod, just wanted to let you know that the script throws an exception as soon as you select the master engineer of the dwarves, e.g. at the beginning of Thorgrim's campain.

Mod still works
