Plymouth GTX 1971 LOW

1971 was the last year for the Plymouth GTX as an independent model. In the new fuselage-type body, the car featured a loop-shaped front bumper and recessed twin headlights. The only available option was a 2-door hardtop. A choice was offered of a 7.2-liter V8 440 engine with a 4-chamber carburetor (370 hp), also with three 2-chamber carburetors (385 hp) and a 7-liter V8 426 Hemi with two 4-chamber carburetors (425 hp). Both engines could be ordered with 4-a three-speed manual or a 3-speed automatic transmission. Compared to the Road Runner, the Plymouth GTX had a more luxurious finish and standard bucket seats, and the list of options included an Air Grabber air intake, a matte black hood, power steering and power windows. In 1971 , only 2,942 copies were produced.
