First of all, I understand what you mean. First of all, the image size is the same, but after making it, my image was in the middle, and the mode image was biased to the left as you said. And when I checked the DDS file, the image of the mode was enlarged as if using a magnifying glass, but my image looked smaller as if it were reduced. Is the program you used not Photoshop?

This is probably because the aspect ratio of the entire image to the illustration is not appropriate.
I prepared an image with a size of 472 x 324 and placed the illustration at the 150th dot from the left.
Other MODs also tend to have an aspect ratio of 1:1.4 to 1.5, and the illustrations are often placed with about 1/3 of the space on the left.
