The Two-Ton Terrestial Terror

•PEAT SUMMARY•

• Archetype: Giant, Grappler
  
• Good qualities: Deceptive mobility, burst damage
  
• Bad qualities: Slow, large hurtbox, linear recovery

Once a normal run of the mill mole in the ground; after a chance encounter with a mysterious artifact that mole grew to an enormous size. With great size comes a great metabolism and fierce unyielding hunger for bugs. On that day Peat was born. Wondering the lands of Aether constantly looking for more to eat. Overtime he became an urban legend, a boogeyman, terrorizing insect communities. During one of his raids he was noticed by a local gang who discovered that they could control Peat- so long as they kept giving him food. Peat's incredible strength would be used as enforcement and intimidation. Rising to be the champion of a criminal fight club known as the Undermound, Peat stood without a rival... Until he met Wally.

Peat does not have a central gimmick, and is overall a very simple character. His kit is designed to complement and compensate for his archetypal play-style, who's game-play is still greater than the sum of his moves.

Peat can deal heavy damage and can be incredibly oppressive so long as he isn't being zoned out or rushed down.

•SPECIALS OVERVIEW•

Grounded and Aerial versions are different

Grounded:

• The best "get-off" me tool there is
  
• Spans the length of the ground you're standing on
  
• Multi hitting
  
• Will drag the opponent to the edge if possible
  
• Not an intended kill move

Aerial:

• A fast dive for great burst damage
  
• An incredible movement tool
  
• Can be jump canceled and canceled into some normal

Big damage grab, use it.

• A quick movement option to gain speed
  
• Can be used to land safely
  
• An invincible approach tool
  
• Can be canceled

• A fast Anti air grab
  
• Great counter play, but only when spaced correctly

•OTHER NOTABLE QUALITIES•


Back air can be used for quick reversals, and has a large disjointed hit box to negate projectiles. However, once used this move will be locked into the move until Peat touches the ground again.


By pressing down tilt repeatedly, Peat can unleash a continuous barrage of palm strikes


While Peat may not be in good enough shape to pull himself up, he can still at least hang on for dear life. By holding wall jump Peat will delay his wall jump animation and instead 'Cling' to the wall.
