Narn Shipset

Description
This shipset adds starships and stations inspired by the 90s science fiction series Babylon 5.

A proud and free people, the Narn take to the stars in mighty starships – whether it is to build a better future or seek revenge on their Centauri oppressors, that is for you to decide!

Workshop Version 2, adding empire colors to the hulls and fixing some weapon placements. Feel free to report any bugs and issues so they can be addressed in future updates.

The full fleet of the Narn Regime

Inspired by designs seen throughout the whole run of the show, this shipset features the earliest Narn warship seen during the first episode of the show, the iconic G'Quan cruiser, as well as outposts and stations seen in various establishing shots.
The ships of this set are properly sectioned, allowing you to combine modules for a wide variety of new designs.

Empire Colors!
The hull color is now determined by the primary empire color & flag! You can select a variety of red and orange tones for the original show feel, but also any other color you'd like to customize this shipset to your liking. Additionally, all textures have been updated with the proper shader to avoid the excessive bloom and glow.

FAQ & Roadmap

Q: Will there be more Babylon 5 Shipsets?
A: Yes. I'm a huge fan of the show's designs, and I will add more of them – but I can't make any promises about when that will be or what races will be included. Adding Earth Alliance would be a dream, but I have no idea yet how to add animated rotating sections. If anybody's got information on that, I'll gladly take it!

Q: Will there be an NSC2 compatible version?
A: Maybe, eventually. NSC2 support is planned for my Kugelraumer Shipset. Depending on how this goes and how much I'll use the mod myself, I might add this feature here as well. If anybody wants just to add the necessary config files to make this mod NSC2 compatible with the existing meshes, they're welcome to do so and either send the updated files to me or upload an NSC2 compatible version themselves, as long as proper credit to the original mod is given.

Q: Is this shipset compatible with Downscaled Ships / other mods?
A: This shipset should be compatible with all mods other shipsets are compatible with, too. That's most of them that don't change ship classes/sections up. I haven't tested it with Downscaled Ships, but codewise, there shouldn't be a problem.

This version is still a work in progress, so bugs and future updates to assets and models are to be expected.

So uh I have an odd question about modding. I kinda like the ion cannon from the kurogane shipset. Is there a way I can merge shipsets? (i wanna take the files for the Ion Cannon and use them with this shipset.)

If the author is still interested in updating the mod, fyi the Narn shipset appears in the Biologocal section of 4.x's shipset list, not the Mechanical section.

There is an easy fix to this mod that you can all do. Go into the graphical_culture subfolder in the mod and open the text document there. Insert the following code below the second line in the document which should start with the word "fallback": ship_kinds = {
default_ship
space_amoeba

can you please update this mod. as of version 4 it lists the ships as biological instead of mechanical which means they cant be used at the start of a game

Wow the skins and warpaint on those look spiff and I would love to use these, hoping for an update. Please and you should do a BSG set/sets. Nice work.
