Description
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE ENABLING THE MOD

Simulate interiors of some vehicles. Support over a 100 vehicles.

Each vehicle has 25 fully-customizable independent spaces.

The power is tied to the car battery. Some trailers have no battery of their own, and need to be attached to another vehicle to have power.

Some vehicles are entered from the back (trunk area) via the radial menu or hotkey. The trunk can be locked to avoid entry.

An interior with a sink has water collector on the roof available for plumbing.

Instructions




  • /!\ FOLLOW THIS GUIDE TO ADD THE MOD TO AN EXISTING SAVE. FOR MP FOLLOW PHONEY'S GUIDE IN THE DISCUSSION.

  • Non-standard maps (such as Challenge maps) are not supported.

  • In Multiplayer, the map file "vehicle_interior" needs to be put in top priority. Map=vehicle_interior;OtherMaps;Muldraugh, KY;

  • In Multiplayer, Anti cheat Type 2 and 12 might need to be disabled.





Enable the mod "RV Interior". The same mod works in both singleplayer and multiplayer. RV Interior - Vanilla Addon is an optional add-on for vanilla vehicle support.

Enter a vehicle and open the vehicle radial menu. If the vehicle is of a type that has an interior map, an "Enter" option will appear.

To exit an interior, right click on the ground and select the "Exit" context menu option.

With the Mod Options mod installed, a hotkey can be defined to enter and exit the interior (Options -> Keybindings -> Vehicle)

The safe zombie distance to enter can be configured (or disabled) in the Sandbox options. Players in SP who want to change these mid-game can use the Change Sandbox Options mod.

Recommended Mods

allows a hotkey to be defined to enter and exit the interior (Options -> Keybindings -> Vehicle)
allows you to take a trait to start the game somewhere random on the back-roads of Kentucky with an RV. (SP ONLY)
Spawns additional vehicles in locations appropriate to their type.

Just a shame its been over half a year and we are still waiting. Literally just waiting for this before I dive into b42. Played a bit but the game just opens up so much more when you have a mobile base. The Nomad lifestyle just makes this game so much better. I really enjoy customizing a small pulled trailer, and setting up several campsites around the map it really is the best way to play. (IMO)

It’s not about how easy or difficult it is. Maxwelt is waiting for the official map tools. Those tent mods and all other map mods for b42 are made with unofficial tools

Hey @RobRendell @Maxwelt Are there any difficulties with porting this mod to build 42? I see that there are already tent mods that I understand use a similar function to form a room outside the map.

This comment is just a summary of common facts that everyone knows. Currently, the original game developer has not made any map-related tools for Build 42, so it is difficult to make Build 42 for the time being. It is so popular that many people are playing a game to count the number of requests for Build 42. Additionally, there is an unofficial community version. It has its own bugs and is very likely to conflict with other mods, but in my case, which is close to vanilla, it did not cause any particular problems. This can be installed if you have the ability to download the file and copy it to a specific location. Please refer to the fixed discussion link above.

Depends on who you ask. I orginally heard that 1% of the subscriber base, so 18470.95 , but others have said 184709.5 people, 10% of the current subscriber base before the fairies will come. But the author said he will start the upgrade after the official mapping tools are released for B42.
