Default Beretta Overhaul

Description

Default Beretta Overhaul

This is my attempt to tweak the default NMRIH m92fs pistol model:
it started as a desire to fix the godawful blocky thing that makes
the front of the gun's frame,I know it's only really visible when
starting the suicide animation with the gun empty, but I just
couldn't deal with how distractingly wrong it looked. This is
especially sad considering how the rest of the gun looks quite
detailed and nice IMO.

As I started remodeling the front of the frame and spend more and
more time tinkering with the rest of the model,I ended up working
on more improvements, trying to do this model justice as much as
I could.
I even went as far as remodeling the slide grooves and the frame
rails,it was probably uneeded since it can't be seen ingame, but
if anything it now ensures there's no visible clipping between
the slide and the frame.I also reworked the slide smoothing, tweaked
some texture coordinates here and there and did others few changes.

Want the short version? Here it is:
-The front of the frame is now properly hollow
-The slide mesh has been heavily modified, probably beyond what was
needed but it ensures no visible clipping between slide and frame
-The smoothing of the slide has been tweaked
-Misc texture coordinates tweaks
-Some misc parts (trigger,safety...things like that) have a slight
recolor pass, overall color ton should now have more consistency
-normal and gradient maps have been tweaked accordingly to any
changes

That took an embarrasingly long time to complete so I hope it was
worthy not just for me.Sadly because I modified some texture
coordinates, reskins won't work well. It's not like there was tons
of these available on the workshop if you ask me,but what do I
know.
With that being said,no changes were made to vmt files,so if you're
using any mods that affect material files they should still work
(I'm using Darkel texture reflection fix mod myself).
The mod only affects the v_model,nothing else was modified.

As usual,if you find anything wrong please comment about it,I'll try
to fix it.

one thing that i like here is that it still gives off that worn look on the beretta. doesnt give off a "too shiny" look

Thank you for your reply. I just wanted to ask, that's all:dealerrizz:

As far as I'm concerned, the answer is no,sadly.

I'm quite surprised to see this sort of things bother you on such
relatively low-ish poly models,I can only suggest you to use
a highter detailed custom model instead,or leave a negative
rating if that can make you feel any better.

I want to know if this issue can be fixed :steamfacepalm:

I always want to roast that the magazine well of this gun is incorrect. Like the MP5, the magazine well makes the gun look like a toy gun

if you're using some VMT mods like Darkel stuff or MLM it most likely
comes from this,I haven't touched any VMT files on this one.

The slide is fullbright for some reason.
