mechanics are fine when they're done right. kaiserreich does it right (outside of germany), but here they're not done right. you just get slapped in the face with a random parliament mechanic that makes no sense, while you're doing more important things.
Managing mechanics to get powerfull buffs = reward good management of goverment. Yet its "bland and boring mechanics." by your statement.
Thats more of a personal issue than issue of the mod my dear.
Thats like complaining that rifle has a 16x scope "because good shooter dont need scope to hit target".
If you take the "skill" as argument, then you can just fully ignore the mechanics, get huge debuffs, and turn the game into "challange mode" that way.
the minigames don't require skill. they're just boring as shit. obviously you haven't played if you're saying this BS so you can't even comment on this matter lol
