*NOTICE* All of my screenshots are taken with my certified potato pc™.
This means (at least in theory) that my custom units will look better on your high-end machine (if you do have one).
So don't be scared off by my horrible screenshots, thanks.

*NOTICEX2* All of these custom models are LOD 0 only.
This means that (aside from the units' impostor models generated at long distances) these custom units will not lose details when zooming out.
This may result in a minor or moderate impact on your FPS.

Please notice that the units' stats screenshot was taken with the unit size setting set to large, so expect more HP if you are playing on Ultra.

This mod adds the following units for Cathay, respectively:
-War Ox Riders
-The Emperor's Might (War Ox Riders) [ROR unit unlockable at level 20 in the ROR pool]

You'll find them through the Cathay main cavalry building chain.

Ok, presentation over: let's dive into the technical stuff!

*COMPATIBILITY*

As far as I know this mod works with pretty much everything that do not mess too much with vanilla units.
Should be usable with an ongoing campaign but in my opinion You should not take any chances and use this mod on a brand new campaign to avoid any problems.

*KNOWN ISSUES*
-Those custom ox mounts were modified and remapped to use vanilla Horse animations.
While everything is working as it should some visual glitches may happen every now and then.
-Had to disable the custom mount's jump attack animation by setting the jump attack chance to 0 because of a visual glitch between mount and rider while performing said attacks.
-Custom oxens' necks will stretch to unnatural degrees while performing certain animations.
That's probably due to the fact that the custom Ox's head is not on the same height level of a vanilla Horse's head.
Sadly I can't fix this in anyway since if I do resize the Ox to match said height, then the rider will clip into the mount.
-Some armour clipping.
-Had to replace the custom Jade warrior rider's lower half with another lower half due to visual glitches, which is why you don't have full Jade Warrior models as riders.
-Had to remap the custom Jade warrior rider's models to use Empire Knights animations instead of Jade Lancers animations because said animation (after SEVERAL tries) just refused to put the custom riders on the custom mounts while the Empire Knights animation instantly worked with no problem whatsoever.
-If you are experiencing weird glowing effects on the units then please use this mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2922534576 until CA officially fixes that issue.
-Missing textures with certain graphic settings/while looking from certain angles: LOD issues/missing textures issues can be caused by low settings, LOD mods, Immortal Empires bugs and/or even some faulty version of H3ro asset editor.
Translated= I generally can't do anything about that.
If you are experiencing low poly models+missing textures there isn't a common solution that works for everyone, but I managed to fix that by doing the following:
-Disable Sharpening
-Enable FXAA
-Enable Unlimited video memory

*UPDATES POLICY*

Let me be straight with you...when the mod status change from updated to outdated....if you start to spam in the comment section things like "update pls, OMG UPDATE, can we have an update my good sir?, UpDaTe!1!1!1" and similar stuff....know that https://media.giphy.com/media/e3URFlLQywEPC/giphy.gif


...But jokes aside: please don't do that.
When it becomes necessary, and when I can, I will update my stuff, do not worry.

*QA*

-"Lord's Red line?Tech buffs?"
I gave them generic Cathay cavalry unit sets, so they should get buffs related to those sets.

-"SFO/Radious ecc. ?"
As a matter of fact I'm officially retired from SFO/Overhaul related mods.
As always: If you already have previous experience in SFO submodding feel free to make an SFO version out of any of my mods that are currently missing one, I will link your submods if you provide me with a link.

-"Your mods are ugly and janky, why? just why?"
Here's a friendly reminder: I'm just an amateur and nothing more.
If you want beautiful stuff with no jank then stick with CA and/or professional modders and avoid my mods, simple as that really.

Update is live and everything seems good now.
The issue was caused by a bunch of incompatible vanilla lowpoly imposter models that were tied to the riders.

When War Ox Riders fight and die, if you zoom out and rotate your perspective, you will see large torn models, like lasers shooting through the sky,I tested it with only this mod enabled

I just double checked in custom battle and everything looks fine.
Well, aside from armour clipping and weird looking oxens' necks but those are known issues since release, none of the crazy stuff you are reporting.
This pretty much sound like either Steam failed to properly download the mod on your end (aka corrupted files) or you are trying to use another big mod that is currently affecting most of your units' animations (both vanilla and custom ones).
Normally this wouldn't be a problem but since many big animation mods still didn't make the jump to 4.0, heavy visual glitches can be experienced if you keep using the outdated versions.
The first big animation mod that could cause something like you are describing and that comes to mind is Matched combat, which still need to be updated.
For future reference: when posting a mod's bug report it is ALWAYS better to test the game with only the suspected mod enabled and see if you can replicate the issue first.

Hey, I just wanted to report that this mod is super glitchy. When they are attacking and die their bodies spaz out and go crazy.

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that I will not be updating any of my mods in time for the Chorfs update because my potato PC has finally left me after years of honoured service.
I have already found a replacement, but since I still need to know the shipment data and because of other shenanigans going on, I can't give you an exact ETA on when I'll be back.
You have my full permission to take and update any of my mods, but keep in my mind that I'll be back eventually and I'm going to update the OG ones.
Now I know that some of you might want to leave a comment to cheer me up or ask me some questions but please DO NOT do that and keep the comment section clean so that people can read this comment and understand why I'm not updating my stuff.
Thanks for all the support and see you again when my new rig arrives.

Yeah, a similar unit for Empire-like factions would definitely doable.
I'm mainly interested in making submods for Cataph's Southern Realms when we are talking about specific TEB units though.
