Description
Welcome to the Battlefield Commander!

Inspired by the popular Star Wars Battlefront II mod series, Designated Days , "Star Wars: Designated Days" (Our Mod) brings this classic to Mowas2 Galaxy at War with our own spin on the original. Take command during Operation Republic Ghost as the Galactic Republic invades the Independent planet Rathia (Rah-Thee-Ah we think), and lead the Republic to (a hard fought) victory.

Recommendations

Known Issues
  • On Spear Fish, the Ocean may render "cut off" on both sides of your screen. If you go into your video options you can fix this quickly by:
    1. Set your quality to anything that it is not currently and apply. (eg. if it is medium set to high)
    2. (optional) Set your quality back to whatever it was originally.
    It should be fixed even if you re-enter the mission from the main menu, which if you want a normal looking intro cutscene is what you would have to do.
  • Spear Fish Vehicles debris can fall in unfortunate places where the mission will be soft locked. This is why there is an alternate option that uses much less engaging but consistent vehicles; this happens often because I am unlucky and MOWAS2 is a funny game with a funny engine... (EBT).
  • Hunt and Peck Trees can fall over in ways that may make navigation difficult. This is due to lots explosions.
  • The final Hunt and Peck objective regarding ship destruction may not seem like it completes even you hit every vehicle. This simply means that the ships aren't damaged enough to become immobile--just hit them more.
  • Hunt and Peck can be a bit intensive for low-end pc's, please turn down your graphics quality before loading if this concerns you.

@Janmyjun2 yes, the new ones show up in their own category or in their respective faction (in their own sub category) unless you mean the ones from this base mod; the base mod has barely any custom units in it (they are mixtures of GAW assets). We'd love to see screenshots of our stuff in any creations.

this mod is one of if not the best mods for this game the difficulty isn't overbearing, the cinematics are really well made, and the overall experience is really enjoying. Both this, and their other mod "Designated Days Reborn" are both amazing campaigns, the reborn version showcasing the largest battles. This mod is fantastic, and i highly recommend it to all who want a good star wars campaign.

@Oorestis You know, I feel like we have driven ourselves insane trying to learn every single in and out of the editor and sometimes I feel like it's a waste of time making these since it's not like a real indie game or something but it feels more than worth it when you tell us things like that. Hey I recently played your mod, there are a few bugs yes but just wanted to say that out of ALL the star wars mods ive played ever yours is the best modded, it really just shows your skills like for example how you managed to bring and land reinforcements by air in the snow mission, were in some other geonosis mod I played ages ago a modder tried to do the same and his drop ships just crashed like missiles and even killed 2 of my tanks. it just shows who has the better modding skills. just wanted to say thank you for all the effort you put in. I don't know if this is an old mod and you may be ever planning to do more story lines.

@Jaremasta The Infinite Mischief Bug is a well known sequencing issue that comes up occasionally every now and then when a unit is basically distracted during the process of doing something where control is taken away from you. There are things that we *should* have done to mitigate if not fix it, but I'm not sure if that mission has it implemented. I'm sure Non can look at it and fix whatever.
In Spear Fish on the other hand, tri-droids and flying vehicles in general are just buggy as they exist in GAW. The fact that they can produce an unlucky wealth of damage to your forces is technically intended as the mission stands currently, sadly being left up to chance due to limitations of the mod. The alternative options for enemy support have been added to mitigate this and other buggy problems they cause. By the time you land on the SS Anakin, tri-droids should stop spawing, however, so I would have to look into that being so bad. Thanks.

in Infinite Mischief there is bug that prevenet mission from progresing when blowing up the APC, and specifically while performing the animation of planting the charge, a random person changes control from player control to AI control and not only does he not plant the charge and the APC does not explode, the person from your team is no longer under your control, which somehow prevents the mission from progressing to next stage when all enemies are defeated also i dont know thats is intended or not but in Spear Fish after the ai shoots down the tri-droids, I can still shoot them and with a bit of bad luck they may make the mission impossible or very difficult than intended because tri-droids rockets kill most of my startinig men and blaster fire from them kill the rest except three and after meals when I landed on the SS Anakin and my strike group was almost immediately wiped out by the tri-droid's blaster fire.
