Hello and welcome back to Green Iz Best, a mod that has been in every Total War Warhammer game since the first iteration!

This is a vanilla style 'soft rework/tweak' mod that enhances all aspects of the Greenskin experience. In essence you could see it as an attempt to reach parity with more current DLC trends if anything, though i strive to make it so that the mod doesn't go overboard if possible!

This also means certain aspects have gained a bit more attention than others based on what i feel needs priority.

The mod will see updates periodically as a i add new stuff and tune things based on feedback and my own experience.

There are a lot of changes, so i will mention some highlights:


FACTIONS

*Crooked Moon gains access to the Masterful Ambush stance. This is the same stance used by the Wood Elves, it requires less movement and is harder to spot.

*Bloody Handz gains a factionwide -10% winds of magic cost to Big Waagh spells.

LEGENDARY LORDS

*Grimgor's unique skilltree is vastly improved. Strongest Indeed.

*Wurrzag has a full Melee Tree, a spellcaster he may be, but he is also a Savage Orc of renown!

*Skarsnik no longer has built in Lightning Strike as a feature, instead he has a built in +200% reinforcement time increase for enemy armies. He also has a stronger unique tree, the sneaky git.

LORDS

*Both Orc Warbosses and Goblin Shaman Lords have gained a few new skills to unlock that gives them an edge.

HEROES

*Orc Shamans are Orcs and have a small yellow skilline tree giving them melee bufffs.

*Night Goblin Shamans have recieved a new mini tree that give them unique abilities as well as some mutually exclusive skills that buff certain units in their army!

SKILLS

*The initial Blue skill line has been made better with new skills replacing old and tired ones.

BUILDINGS

*Wolf Riders, Spider Riders, and Boar Boys buildings have all gone down a tier, making you able to get them earlier!

ITEMS

Nearly all Greenskin unique items have recieved some attention (e.g. if it had damage, it now has more), some more than others depending on my personal bias.

*Azhag's Crown of Sorcery is empowered, a true caster of death resides within..

*Gitsnik is now worthy of being a weapon that Grimgor uses.


UNITS

*Giant Spiders, formerly a Drycha unit, is now available for Greenskins as well (may need the Wood Elves DLC)!
These also gain benefits from the redline tree, techs and scrap upgrades.

*Spider Hatchlings have been added as a recruitable unit in the forest tree as well (they existed before only as a unique unit from a landmark building).


TRAITS

*Greenskin racial traits have all been touched up a bit, in an attempt to make them competetive with normal traits.




Should be savegame compatible, but for the best experience, start a new campaign!

NOT TESTED OR MADE SPECIALLY FUNCTIONAL WITH OTHER BIG REWORK MODS LIKE SFO, RADIOUS ETC.

I want to say as a Greenskin main, after playing with this mod for several hrs, This is one of the best mods for Greenskins that makes them good again, especially after that terrible rework they've gotten. Thanks again for this amazing mod and love the skill that buffs boar boyz which is a long overdue & they finally get something that ain't just charge and speed buffs. Now all they need is their anti infantry then they will be amazing.

Its most likely the fact that CA removed the "enables death magic" effect from the Crown of Sorcery item but it was still in this mod.

Shooould be fixed now, updated again.

Has there been an update? My game is suddenly crashing saying invalid record:
"wh_main_anc_enchanted_item_the_crown_of_scorcerywh_main_effect_ancillary_crown_of_scorcery"

I was just playing last night now it comes up with this crash when I load the game.

I would like to make a suggestion for Grimgore. I think he should give +5 melee atk and +5 melee def to all black orcs, I don't know if this should be a faction buff or a lord buff but I do think he should have it.

Skarsnik, Night Goblin Warbosses and Goblin Big Boss Heroes can now unlock the "Opportunist Murderer" passive ability from the "Nasty Skulker" Skill, which has been given back to Skarsnik and the Nigh Goblin Warboss after having been removed from their skill trees. This is the same passive that the infantry unit Nasty Skulkers has.

Night Goblin Warbosses can now unlock Stalk stance for their army if they fill their unique mini-tree, which unlocks at level 14.

Azhag received some buffs:

He now starts with all basic Lore of Death spells unlocked without needing the Crown of Sorcrery.
His unque skill tree has been tweaked to provide better bonuses.
His Army Waagh Ability now also adds the "Discouraged" contact effect to all units during its duration.
His Aura Ability "Get on wiv it!" has been buffed, it now also confers a -1% per second vigour loss benefit.
His set item bonus gives some more benefits.
His mount, Skullmuncha, hits a bit harder (from 480 total damage to 500 total damage before modifiers) and has a +20 Bonus vs Large modifier.
