Description
History

With social housing projects sprawling in the region there was increased interest on local governments to design some of those units/quarters with the most up-to-date functional and aesthetics standards that were in use in 1st world countries as a sign of local economic and social prosperity. In many cases, said quarters were designed by foreign architects or nationals that studied partially or integrally abroad.

Of course those projects were in the minority as they usually required more specialized workforce for the building process, more advanced industrial materials and very skilfull architects to design such stylized neighborhoods. With those challenges and limitations to overcome, as stated before, those projects were the exception and not the norm in the region, usually being employed in capital cities and/or to house public servants in key official positions.

Overview

This pack consists of 7 houses, heavily inspired by the Brazilian architects and engineers Lucio Costa and Oscar Niemeyer (world-renowned names in their fields), employed in the construction of Brasília. This type of architecture, however, has many similars in the whole Latin American region, with clear modernist inspirations from the USA and Europe but with a more prominent usage of colors, a very distinct latin-american feature.

They offer top-notch housing for its residents, usually on the same par as housing built in the developed countries.

Houses 1-3 were called "worker's houses", and were intended to house your typical mid XX century urban working family. They have 93% housing quality.

Houses 4-5 are meant to house your middle-high class of workers, mainly university teachers, military and police officers, factory managers, some public servants, etc. They have 96% housing quality.

Houses 6-7 are pretty much novelty houses and are certainly not balanced cost-wise with other residential buildings. They are pretty much for roleplay purposes as the housing of your top end public servants: judges, generals, diplomats, etc. They have 100% housing quality.

PS: see the pictures to get an idea on how they were placed in real life (with acces to the street from the front and the backyard.
