Hi! You'll notice that the mod was updated a long time ago, but the goal was to have only one food slot instead of 3. At that time, it worked fine, but I don't know how it behaves now since I haven't played the game in a long time.

By "smaller", you mean less available slots, but we can already lower the amount of slots the normal feeder can have and the mod item still takes 1x2 tiles
