Description
OWB - Darkness Falls
------------------------------

- Removed custom bookmarks as it was causing compatability issues with other mods.
- Fixed a focus description bug where east and west were the wrong way around.

4th December 2024 - Hotfix
Compatability fix for submod OWB - More Custom Paths.

14 November 2024 - Hotfix
- Updated for compatibility with OWB update 5.0.10 and HOI4 1.15
- Temp fix for missing icon for Within The Blizzard. Affects vanilla OWB too.
- Went back to vanilla high elder promotion event when seizing control of Lost Hills. Should see less instances of Immortal not being in charge.
Let me know of any issues here or on Discord.

19 August 2024 - Hotfix
- Updated national focus priority, should decrease conflicts with mods such as For the Little Guys.
5 August 2024 - Hotfix
- Fixed theory advisors & bookmark errors introduced by OWB update 5.0.9
ATA changes in main OWB game are not incorporated in Darkness Falls. Will need to do some balance testing first.
24 June 2024 - Hotfix
- Fixed a pipeline not found error on decision menu

3rd June 2024 - Version 4.1 - The Northern League
WashBOS:
- Added a dedicated focus tree section for The Northern League. The player can now invite the Broken Coast to the Northern League, just like the AI.
- Lots of bug fixes for edge cases relating to decisions and focuses by other nations.
- Oregon Chapter should no longer steal your Montana puppet.
- If Lost Hills falls before you join the Western BOS, you can take up the mantle of the BOS.
Timberline:
- Re-jigged the Pilgrim focuses. Should work much better for the AI now.
- Lots of bug fixes for edge cases relating to decisions and focuses by other nations.
- Can now choose between Montana and Dakota Chapter. If everyone dies early, you can go it alone too.
------------------------------
4th March 2024

- Added event for WBH when The Cause disappear
- Changed Bone Dancer focus to only be available if WBH actually owns it (not owned by allies)
- Added a Brotherhood of Steel bookmark, so you can easily pick BOS nations while DF is running
------------------------------

Darkness Falls on Oregon. Can Abel, Bear Bunyan and the Timberline stand against The Immortal?

Welcome to Darkness Falls 4.0, featuring a revamped Washington Brotherhood tree, an expanded Troll Warren tree and a brand new unique Timberline tree!
Over 500 new focuses, 50+ new events in a tightly linked story.

As The Immortal, delve into the mysteries of the P-1 complex, reforge the remnants of Lance Squadron into a true Brotherhood of Steel nation, and then decide your own fate: Seize power in the Lost Hills, become Absolute Elder in Seattle, or support the Lost Hills as they turn the Western Brotherhood of Steel into the mightiest faction in the wasteland.

As The First super mutant of the Warren, accept Timberline aid and advance your technology, so that you can better stand against the Immortal. Learn how to engage in diplomacy and invite fellow Super Mutants to your faction: Thradd's Chimerean Pact and Whoz Land. Or join forces with the Timberline, who may have a proposal you can't refuse: The return to Mariposa backed by the steel legions of the Oregon Chapter!

The Timberline stands at a crossroads. After integrating The Cause remnants, what path will it choose? Betty and her super mutants wish for a clean start, as the Northwestern Unity. Dipping is voluntary. The Seraph Pilgrims have little use for mutants. Their leader pushes for closer ties to both The Children of the Gate, and the Seraph Lords to the south. Should the Rotpurgers survive, they too can embrace the path of the Pilgrim. The true faith will come to the rest of the world, by fire or sword. In Walla Walla, Bear Bunyan sees the NCR as his best hope for survival. He is preparing an expedition to make the long journey to Shady Sands. With a bit of luck and a bit of aggressive diplomacy, the Oregon Territories will form the northern frontier of the expanded NCR. Cascadia needs to be civilized, one way or another.
Unless they turn to The Cause remnants. Abel has moved his troops and equipment to Enterprise.  Their bunkers are ready. He just needs the go ahead, and the Oregon Chapter will be born. He too stands at a crossroads. Does he stay true to the ideals of the Midwest and Glorious Purpose? To stand against the Immortal he needs allies. Perhaps the Montana Chapter could be persuaded to join forces? Betty could be sent to the First with an offer of alliance: A carrot so sweet they can't say no. Or he could walk the same path as the Immortal: Align with the Lost Hills and the Western Brotherhood of Steel. Help them reclaim California, and hopefully convince the Elders there to banish the Immortal from their ranks, for if the Immortal gets appointed Absolute High Elder of the Brotherhood of Steel, the outlook is going to be bleak.
Whatever the path, one thing is certain: Cascadia is about to go up in flames. Whose side are you on?

The plan is to release each path separately. The BOS and NCR paths are fully playable right now, but the NCR will get a major revamp next. The Pilgrim and Unity paths will be expanded later.
All of the paths will be available as game rules for the AI, so if you fancy a late game challenge, set these manually.
Thanks to Berrick for helping out with events, GFX and brainstorming.
Thanks to Basta for Warren focus tree icons.
Thanks to Discord Submodding for all their assistance.
Thanks to everyone who provided feedback during the beta.

Unhandled Exception C00000FD (EXCEPTION_STACK_OVERFLOW) at address 0x00007FF66297C52B and Building not found for remove_building effect. keeps crashing and this mod may be conflicting with another mod but I'm not sure. Are there any incompats that could cause this?

Suggestion but you don't have to implement it right now allow the Timberline(Going down the Midwest BOS Reborn path) to interact with the Reaver Movment south of the Plauge lands
could just be a Event trading Equipment with them
Also I think rebuilding the Midwest BOS should change your Currency to the Scrip
Wartank55 15 Jun @ 10:51am
hence why I said you could fluff it as the Midwest BOS finding some Intelligent Deathclaws or maybe have a Midwest Deathclaw Unit leader spawns from getting help from the Main Midwest BOS(Or if the Midwest BOS is destroyed then you could have one escape with the Survivors)

Hah. well spotted. I'll flag it for my next update. I'm keeping a close eye on the creatures right now, I haven't really tried them out. I'm trying to avoid adding tech / units for the sake of adding tech / units. There needs to be an underlying reason, whether that's story. lore or event elsewhere for something like that to happen.
Wartank55 14 Jun @ 11:55pm
uhm, the Oregon BOS Focus for forming the Midwestern Brotherhood Expedition Faction says the Midwest sent Lance Squadron East, and that they will Return West
this is just wrong/Physically Impossible cause Lance Squadron was sent west to Washington State and can't have been sent East
Wartank55 14 Jun @ 10:46pm
suggestion for the Midwest Brotherhood path for the Timberline/Timbercause
allow them to get Deathclaw unit Tech (Could fluff it as Intelligent Deathclaws Working with the Cause or something to that effect)

Update pls

No, new tree is being built from the ground up. Some of it may seem familiar, and some focuses may get re-used, but it's a brand new tree, so no partial releases.

Would you not consider even just releasing the military focuses for the WashBOS first in a small uplift update? Im happy to wait for everything else but it feels so strange that the WashBOS has such a massive expansion tree in this but then every other subtree for base WashBOS is tiny :(
