Description
This mod adds 41 weather presets that can be switched between while playing skirmish and conquest maps. The focus of this mod is on realism and staying true to the vanilla style, with realistic, muted lighting and balanced contrast - though a few presets do provide more dramatic weather conditions such as heavy storms and dark nights.

For best results, ensure HDR is turned on, and Depth of Field is turned off.

To switch between the weather presets, enter a game, select a single unit, and use the Next Weather and Previous Weather buttons in the bottom-right gear menu. If a unit normally has a button in this space, that will take priority, in which case another unit may be selected for these buttons to appear.

Dynamic Conquest and Skirmish/MP on vanilla and DLC maps is fully supported. Third party maps may or may not work, depending on the map.

These are the included presets, in the order that they are switched between in-game:

Morning
  • 1. Dawn - Very early in the morning. The contrast between the sky and ground hinders visibility, and makes vehicle lights particularly useful.
  • 2. Early Morning - A bright, early morning.
  • 3. Crisp Morning - A misty, cool morning in a slightly purple light.
  • 4. Hazy Morning - Morning in a warm, purple haze.
  • 5. Hazy Morning (Late) - Morning in a warm, purple haze, with the sun a bit higher on the horizon.
  • 6. Dusty Morning - Dry, dusty morning light.
  • 7. Foggy Morning - Thick, dramatic fog makes it hard to see far in the distance.
  • 8. Pale Morning - Bright, pale morning light with a moderate amount of fog.
  • 9. Golden Hour - Dramatic, saturated morning colors.
  • 10. Cold Morning - A bright and slightly misty morning.

Daytime
  • 11. Sunny Day - A cold, chilly noon.
  • 12. Warm Day - Neutral daylight lighting with good visibility.
  • 13. Foggy Day - Thick fog obscures line of sight significantly.
  • 14. Pale Day - Bright, greenish noon light.
  • 15. Vibrant Day (Bright) - Bright daytime setting.
  • 16. Vibrant Day - Saturated daytime setting.
  • 17. Cold Day - A dramatic, bright noon.
  • 18. Realistic - Soft, photorealistic natural light.
  • 19. Filmic - Vivid, dramatic lighting.
  • 19. Filmic (Saturated) - Vivid, dramatic lighting, slightly more saturated.
  • 21. Cloudy - Cloud covered skies.
  • 22. Overcast - Gray, dreary skies.
  • 23. Muggy Rain - Limited light makes it difficult to see through the fog and rain.
  • 24. Pale Rain - Rainy, dreary skies.
  • 25. Humid Rain - Humid, bright lighting.
  • 26. Pale Snow - Light snowfall against a dark sky.
  • 27. Slushy - Darker, greenish lighting and fast-falling snow.
  • 28. Misty Snow - Mist-covered snow.
  • 29. Light Snow - Light snowfall against bright sky.
  • 30. Crisp Snow - Light snowfall against a more dramatic sky.
  • 31. Vibrant Snow - Light snow against dramatic lighting.
  • 32. Frigid Snow - Light snow in a blue-ish haze.
  • 33. Snowstorm - Dramatic heavy snowstorm.

Evening / Night
  • 34. Evening - Warm, dramatic evening light.
  • 35. Dusk - Darker evening as the sky has set below the horizon.
  • 36. Moonlight - A full moon provides a small amount of light, but vehicle headlights are essential.
  • 36. Moonlight (Snow) - A full moon against light snow.
  • 37. Snowy Night - Cloudy, snowy night with very limited visibility.
  • 38. Rainy Night - Rain and fog makes it difficult to see far.
  • 39. Midnight - With no moon in the sky, natural light is near non-existent.
  • 40. First Light - A faint light begins to fill the sky as dawn is arriving.

Additional mods used in the above screenshots:

Immersive Weather is inspired by (and originally based on) the Random Weather Button mod by Nikral. If you are looking for weather presets that are a bit more stylized and different from the base game, I strongly recommend checking this mod out as well!

The mod doesnt seem compatible with mace , Mace V2 patch and conquest enhanced v2 .It loads and loads and upon opening crashes. Tested it and its definetly this mod as without it boots perfectly fine

Does this mod apply a preset weather setting when first loading into a mission or does it need to be done manually? doing it manually doesn't work for me probably because of other mods I have loaded.

is it possible on mission maps?

Tested on the latest game version and so far it seems to work on my end - e.g. by starting up a Skirmish game, spawning and selecting any unit, and using the previous/next weather buttons to switch between weather presets.

If I could get some examples of specific places this doesn't seem to work, I'd be happy to take a closer look!

Greetings, mods seems great so far. Like it more than the Random Weather Button mod. Sadly its not compatible with AA Enhancment or Auto Medic. Would it be possible to fix that? So we can enjoy both mods? :)
