my own bot fixes and improvements. unfortunately the developers has abadone the bot in version 344.

- marine bots are smarter in combat
- marine bots can better conquer safe techpoints
- marine bots use all weapons in active game (not only the shotgun)
- marine bots can take up any weapon from any map position, finally without any restrictions
- marine bots can better defend and conquer RT-Points (better handleing with cysts)
- marine bots dont attack with flamethrower or shotgun when target is out of range (try to switch to pistol)
- marine bots can pickup all marine com dropped supplys
- marine bots drop more mines in bases
- marine bots can buy and throw all types of handgrenades
- marine com drop all kinds of weapons now with random quantites on all armorys and jetpacks / large drop needs a lot of space
- marine com has a better resources management for supplydrops and save some to build rt, press the distress beacon etc...
- marine com has a weapondrop resourcelimit to handleing other things like support marines or build new structures
- marine com drop all structures to build for a 1. 2. 3. 4. "5." base without any build bugs on some positions in the past (with macs and arcs)
- marine com use scans in diffrent situations
- marine com can build on double RT a phasegate and armory
- marine com can command (i recommend min. 6 players in the marine team)
- alien and marine bots now send messages to the team about where and which enemy they see
- alien com build some defend structures from the begin of a match
- alien com can now correctly and completely research its biomass for each destroyed and rebuilt hive from 1-12
- alien com can build a tunnel at double RT and a shade when he can hide most of the structures
- alien skulk, gorge and lerk attack powernodes
- aliens have been improved in combat
- gorge can use all attack abilities

and other many fixes and changes.

issues: - sometimes arcs moveing under the hive (com bot doenst give him the firerange movepositon)
- marine rarely cant get the move to build order when the com bot drop it in a structure or a wall (i have tested it many times and i have not seen yet, but it could be)
- a nasty alien com vanilla bug often dosent build/rebuild structures (i try for a long time to get it work smoothly... but i realy dont know why for sure/ help!)
- a old vanilla bug is when a human player enter the commstation and the combot is building a arc or mac at this moment he building so many things that get the game gets to stuck, freeze or crash (do not enter the commstation when he is building mac or arcs)
- and other many construction sites or old vanilla bugs like bad navmeshing (no vents use or get stuck on the pressure point etc... etc...)
- isnt a bug but unfortunately a gorge isnt present in every game

play with bots:

open the console with ^ or other you have bind then write:

map ns2_veil
if the map has loaded write in the console:
addbots 18

or number of bots per team write:

addbots 1 2 (1 bot for aliens)
addbots 1 1 (1 bot for marines)

for combots write without votemenu:

addbots 1 2 com (add a aliencom bot)
addbots 1 1 com (add a marinecom bot)

when you want to remove bots write:

removebots 1 2 (this removes 1 alien bot / first number is for bot and the second one for the team)

removebots 1 1 (this removes 1 marine bot)

close the console with ^ or your bind and press esc and choose in the menue the vote for commander bots and press F1 when the votemenue appears.
join a team and play.

give it a try and have fun with these bots.

@BLACK DEATH: My mod is no longer being updated because it has merged with this bot mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3397710344 and receives advanced updates there that I would not have been able to do. If you have any requests or suggestions, please post them there. Regarding your statement: I left everything original on the drifters.

There was a bug that marine bots would not attack Drifters on sight, no matter how you set their threat level in brain_data.ini. Can you please check that out?

@Bhaz :I'm glad to hear that you like it! I hope you keep going and that you're not finished with your good bot mod. The alien players like the gorge who now jumps back and forth really coolly, uses his heal senses for the player bots, and the skulks who finally use nearestteamates properly are great (I didn't manage to do that). Strategic phasegates and tunnels are great. I hope you have more planned. I'll post a few ideas and wishes for your hopefully next update on your mod page .:steamhappy:

@delnaxsis: i think it's great and motivating when you don't just do it only for yourself, but also for people they like the hard work on the bot. I would also be happy if even more people would take on this complex, but also very interesting challenge. It would be really cool if more motivated and creative people would develop the bot further and of course it would become better and more dynamic as a result. for only one person it is seemingly an endless task. let's see what else you can get out of it and thanks for the praise.

really decent update love seeing arc's move around the map and put hives to siege. the marine orders for moving/building and defending seems improved as well. been play testing this mod alot with bhaz recently both pre and prior to the update. also done alot of private testing with bhaz's submod for this, which i won't spoil, but the game play with bots now is both fun and challenging. great work all round.

@Rus9 ZakirOV: the Combot does not use sentrys because it would be difficult to integrate it in a simple way while strictly taking supply points into account. For this, special circumstances must be taken into account and then programmed sensibly.

Hello, I wanted to ask, does the commander use a sentry gun? Or is it just a matter of tactics, since I haven’t seen any turrets during the game yet?
