View a cutaway of projected ships with this mod! Supposedly great for hand building ships layer by layer.

You can select the axis of the cutaway plane, starting layer, and layers to show from the starting layer. Let me know if I missed any obvious configs.

The blocks are only hidden visually, they can still be built even if the projected block is hidden

Has 3 properties available for scripting:
LayerViewEnabled (bool)
LayerViewStartLayer (int)
LayerViewVisibleLayers (int)

If you use Build Vision you have to shift+scroll to change the start layer and visible layers settings for some reason.

Could a filter feature be added to show only specific blocks like conveyors, production blocks, cargo, heavy/ light armor only, etc. This would help immensely with troubleshooting internals and building ships in stages.

I have been having an issue of blocks that are connected to the ones I'm welding getting projected when they aren't on the same layer as the those blocks. It's really annoying when I'm welding 1 layer but have to stop and grind the blocks of the next layer. I don't recall this happening the last time I used the mod. Is this a bug with the mod? And/or is there something I can do to fix it? Cause this mod is amazing and it makes welding SO much simpler if you aren't welding with a welder wall.

a solution to my problem (if possible of course) is if the first block at level 1 for example is not complete at 100%, you can't start level 2. this could prevent the welding of the level 2 and so on. this would fix it. But I just wonder if its even possible to do though

Quick question/suggestion for you...

In this mod, could you add an option to "Show Functional Blocks Only"?

It is fairly easy to identify a functional block, since all non-functional blocks identify themselves as "MyObjectBuilder_CubeBlock". I just don't know if you have access to that particular property at the point in your code where you would have to make that determination.

I'd try to modify the code myself and send it to you, but I don't have a VS environment set up to do SE development. Know of any good guides to set that up? Maybe we could get some collab going :)

ok I'm currently using this right now. its good but ...it has a major flaw. I use 1 layer stating at 0 and when I'm welding, the blocks on layer 2 will pop for a fraction of a second. this is enough to start the structure or block.

if that issue would be fixed, I would give it a 5 star.

Is this a view-only mod, or does it actually limit what will be built to what is visible too?
