Umbreon is a species, based at Eevee's genome. Umbreon were originally designed to act as bodyguards, surveillance and other covert security roles for events and companies that valued aesthetics very highly. Umbreon, despite their small body size are very tough and hard to kill, not to mention fatal melee attacks that they can deal. Anyone who is not as tough as them or doesn't have corresponding equipment to counter their capabilities should avoid melee combat at all costs. Umbreon is an advanced variation of xenohumans with a precisely tuned genome that becomes highly unstable outside of very short range of acceptable parameters. Technically they even can be considered an alien species. Their modification is impossible outside of advanced Glitterworld facilities and without source Genome templates.

Not compatible with mods that overhaul pawn appearence. Facial stuff, etc.

Should be compatible with most proesthetic mods.

I am glad for the update however, I am curious; can you make these compatible with Vanilla Psycasts expanded?
At present the race spawns fine but any power they are supposed to have, do es not.

The race is still misspelled as "Umbeon" in the bio tab

@Isma This race and all of the others that Yanzhiko created (either on commission or on their own) are in the same boat. They exist on github in case some knowledgeable coders can properly update maintain them until Yanzhiko returns from their extended absence.

TL;DR: I wouldn't expect issues with this mod or Yanzhiko's other race mods to be addressed or fixed unless either they return or someone on github fixes them (and maybe uploads them here). Whichever happens first.

it's impossible to modify the xenotype for this raze. inclusive using the developer mode or prepare carefully. I want to transform my umbreon in a sanguopague or other xenotype, but i cant

Huh, that's making me realize the lore and the description of the genes is probably a meta joke.
where it said something around the lines of "This gene appears to be heavily encrypted, but maybe with enough cracking it can unlock a full more potential"
It's both the corporation trying to stop their creations from getting out of hand in universe but also it's referring to the player base that if we want these powers we'll have to figure it out ourselves how to make them work in game.


Hmm... makes me wonder about the lore implications of the lombax mod then.

Actually, that was something of a lore choice. If I remember right, the genetic engineering involved is so picky and sensitive that the corporation that made them had t make them extremely resistant to further modification/tempering. And it protects their intellectual property/trade secrets to boot.

But yeah, it would be nice to get those working again. They's why their code is open-source for the time being, because that's the only way we can get bug fixes and updates until Yanz gets back in 2025.

Aawww ... so that's why they're gone, that sucks, It was literally one of my favorite features.
Well I hope someone can find a way to get them working again.
Also explains why ALL the races now have a Yanzhiko style gene.

That's because Yan couldn't get them working before they had to leave to attend to RL for the next year, so it was easier to just remove Biotech ability support. This loss of compatibility is universal across all of their race mods.

However there is good news. They have stated that anyone who wants to maintain the mods in Yan's absence is free to do so. So if anyone figures out how to bring back support for biotech abilities, they can do so and upload the patched race to the workshop (but they have to link back to the original mod page).
