UTHI HR Series

UTHI HR406 - Heavy Roadswitcher, 4000hp, 6 Axle, C-C Type. Produced from 1956-1994, the HR406 was one of UTHI's most dominant models. Creating the theme that UTHI would be known for, the HR406 was effectively an LR306 with a longer short hood, in which UTHI fitted a second, 1000hp prime mover. Like so many of their dual prime mover models, it can run on either of the prime movers. When the update/rebuild programs started, not only did they redevlop the HR406 into the HR526R1, with more power in the prime movers, but also an HR366E, which replaced the small secondary prime mover with a large battery storage system to make it a hybrid locomotive.

UTHI HR506 - Heavy Roadswitcher, 5000hp, 6 Axle, C-C Type. Produced from 1957-Present (in the form of the rebuild/update), the HR506 was an extension of the concept of the HR406, with an even longer short hoot and a 2000hp prime mover in the secondary hood. Like with the smaller sibling, the HR506 was updated/rebuilt into a full-diesel SH656R1 (reclassified as a super heavy), and an SH366E hybrid with a long battery life due to the large battery section.
