Originally designed as a way of improving the fuel capacity of the LR306, the "Long Porch Project" ended up spawning three models.
UTHI LR306LP is little different from the LR306, simply bearing trucks with longer walkway areas, which "move" the wheels further out from the center of the locomotive, allowing for a larger fuel tank.
UTHI HR508LP rides on two D trucks, rather than the predecessor's C trucks, giving it better traction and weight distribution.
UTHI SH7010LCB is a C+B-B+C monster of a locomotive, the ten axles providing better weight distribution.
