Squeaking Tapklabs have a head-like thing on their tails that they can detach and throw at enemies, which grabs onto them and then explodes, for extra damage. They are from my mind-story "BYWD", short for "Beyond Your Wildest Dreams", which perfectly describes the aliens seen in the story.

They were inspired by a really weird and kind of creepy dream I had about a little girl who sneezed so much her head exploded. This is very much a stretch as nothing resembling this creature was present in that dream (or any dream for that matter). The head-exploding is present in its tail thing while the sneezing part I guess is the sound the creature makes.
