Description
This mod aims to give the Kobold King a fighting chance against factions like the Necromancer or the High Cultist. Most of the time they will still get rekt, but their defeat is not set in stone anymore. I tried to keep the new units as close to vanilla as possible. The aim of this mod is not to balance the Kobold King and make it into a strong faction but to give him means to fight back against situations that are impossible to overcome in the unmodded game.

Every Unit I added brings a new set of skills to the table. There are a total of 6 new units.

Green Kobold Sapper:
A unit comperable to the Green Kobold Warrior. As the name suggest it will burrow in sieges. This can help buy a turn or two if you are up against many Aoe-Casters behind walls. Affordable level 1 Ritual. (Green) Can be produced in modest numbers.

Red Kobold Maniac:
A "tank" with high moral and good damage. Strong unit that might actually stand when faced by fear-spells. But it is not easy to spam. Is only castable near Fariy Circles. (Red Kobold -> Red Kobold Maniac) Level 2 Ritual. (Red)

Blue Kobold Senior:
Squishy ranged but inaccurate Magic-Damage-Dealer. Additionaly only 1 magic attack per battle per unit. Can be summoned in modest numbers. Level 2 (Blue) Helpfull if your up against ethereal units or units that are invulnerable to mundane damage. Or units that have to be dealth with quickly. (Abomination)

White Kobold Storm Caster:
Strong ranged unit that targets a random enemy anywhere on the map and maybe even the commander if lucky. But costs 50 Kobolds to summon and can be countered if the enemy has many disposables. Level 2 (White)

Black Kobold Skirmisher:
I thought it strange that black kobolds dont have a ranged unit so I added one. 10% Chance to recruit if you have a Black Kobold Slayer Shaman. 14% Chance if you have a Black Kobold Slayer Prophet. Units shoot darts that inflict disease.

Golden Drake:
Good boi that has a chance to drop if you have an abbandoned mine. Really rare.

I lack the time to balance the mod myself so I gladly accept feedback. But it should work and it should be somewhat balanced as of now. Have fun!

Version 1.1
+ Increased the ritual-cost to promote kobolds into "Red Kobold Maniacs" from 50->75 fungus. I have noticed that it is even easier then I thought to farm fungus, and there are even events and seasons that increase the output.

Version 1.2
+ fixed a spelling mistake.
+ reworked the way Red Kobold Maniacs are summoned. Previously fungus was needed to summon Red Kobold Maniacs. But I’ve noticed that its really really easy to get a lot of fungus. But that’s not the main reason I changed the way Maniacs are summoned.
In order to gather fugus, I gave the Kobolds the ability to claim forests and swamps. This proved to be a great disadvantage in multiplayer, because kobolds rely on being sneaky and like to fight guerrilla-warfare. Human opponents can use the claimed forests to track armies and locate Koboldlairs.
So now kobolds no longer claim forests, but instead summon Kobold Manicas for “free” as long as they are in the proximity of a fairy circle.

Version 1.2b
+ Deleted the +300 income kobolds. - use them to test mods, but forgot to delete them this time

Version 1.3
+ Black Kobold Scout now has "snowmove."
Previously it made no sense to take a scout if you play blue kobolds as he would only slow the army down in cold terrain. Why though? Scouts should excel in difficult terrain.

+ fixed some spellingmistakes

+ dramaticly decreased chance for Black Kobold Skirmishers appearing as recruitables. (before 25% now 10%) +4% chance if you have a black kobold slayer prophet.
+ Adjusted cost of Black Kobold Skirmishers from 50 gold -> 35 gold
+ Added some additional chance-based recruitment opportunities for the Black Kobold and the Black Kobold Warrior, tied to the black kobold slayer prophet
Previously it made little sense to recruit Black Kobolds or Black Kobold Warriors. They only rarely showed up and costed too much money. And there was almost no benefit in it. A black Kobold army of 30 units will die just as often as a solo black kobold commander. I wanted to make it more feasable to build a black kobold army. So now you can recruit them more often and for a lower price in the late game. Doesnt necessarily make it a good investment, but makes a bit more sense now and gives the Black Kobold Slayer Prophet more of a reason to exist.

I suggest you deinstall and then reinstall the addon to make sure that you have the fixed version

i think you either use an old version of the mod, or a different mod causes the issues. I tested it now and it worked. Also looked over the code and didnt find anything. Can you look at the mod description in the modmenu and see if you have the v1.31 installed?

Do you refere to more kobold-features or mods in general?
