Welcome to Divergences
A mod for Victoria III that continues the legacy of Divergences : An Alter Vicky mod created by Kinniken

According to the quantum theory, every decision made in the universe creates an alternative universe where all the following events take a different way. The first decision that diverged the timeline is called the Point of Divergence.

In the Divergences mod there are PODs that are not bound to each other:
  • The duke of Burgundy decides to continue his support for Plantagenets in the Hundred Years' War
  • The personal union of Denmark, Norway and Sweden survives and evolves to a unitary state
  • Isabella of Spain married a Portuguese prince, instead of Ferdinand II.
  • The Chenghua Emperor does not stop Ming China's explorations, but decides to pursue them with greater zeal than before But that were not all the changes.
The timeline began to diverge more and more and after 400 years the very world as we know it looks absolutely different...

What's new in the 1.9 Patch?

  • Updated content for Amazonie, Lotharingia and Tawatinsuyu!
  • Addition of many new treaties between the great powers and smaller nations of the world!
  • Overhaul of missing vanilla content, adding in lobby events, more law passage events and treaty events!
  • General bugfixes

Wouldn't it make more sense for the Dual Monarchy to be called something like Franco-Anglia to distinguish it from other dual monarchies like Austria-Hungary?

For some reason, the breakaway culture rule doesn't work. I set it to both options and Athesia does not have athesian as a primary culture

Love the mod! Found an issue tho: The Social Democratic party in Bavaria is missing its name in the appropriate file and is shwon as "party_sdp".

There is a mistake in the Ludwig VI info box. it says he was assassinated in 1798 and in the German Revolution info box it is said that Ludwig VI was assassinated in 1789. I think 1789 is meant to be the correct year as it's a reference to the French revolutions start date.

Is something with this mod and interventions? While I play Beornia, Great Powers constantly intervene when I try attack Incas, even when they have like -20 preference for their side. I'm almost sure that it isnt that bad in vanila.

some of the methods used to declare scripted wars do not work and end up with countries declaring annexation wars on themselves; genoa's savoyard war is an example of this. also the sale of florida to plantagenea by venice is locked behind a "power rank is lower than 6" bool that never gets completed even if venice is an insignificant power ranked 80 worldwide. also for some reason support independence still exists as its own thing outside of treaties. otherwise the mod is great, thank you for giving us what is basically a whole extra game for free.

Why was Anglois culture removed from the Francophone, did the upper class nobles of the DUA not speaking Parisian French?
I feel that doing this just to create a mechanic that keeps the French cultural region in intense turmoil is a utterly absurd funny matter.:lunar2020thinkingtiger:
