Wargrove of Durthu RoR Mod

Description
Thus did he awaken those gnarled titans who had fought at his side in ages past – Lorrenoc, Sidhendri, Talbornan and Givrioth - to serve as his lieutenants in an army of spirits greater than any seen for long centuries.

This mod adds my interpretation of Durthu's Wargrove, a unit from an End Times supplement. Now named Wargrove of Durthu because I'm a fan of the genitive case and it makes things sound better (e.g. Sword of Khaine vs. Khaine's Sword).

This was mostly an excuse to continue playing with Treemen textures which I thoroughly enjoy doing and implementing tabletop paint schemes from other hobbyists which I have long admired.

This is a level 30 RoR available to all Wood Elf factions, they are expensive (not for late game Wood Elf economy), they hit hard, and they'll hit harder with tech/skill buffs, with quite a few bound spells up their bark to reflect their many years of existence and wisdom in the Old World.

Visually, I improvised a bit off of the original inspirations, to give a little bit of story beyond their names. Asymmetry and diversity of appearance is the name of the game for these tree commandos, some visual touches here and there to show who these lads have stomped across and what enchanted forest they've been summoned from, be they Dwarf beards woven into a loincloth, Vampire skulls n shields dangling in the leaves, Dark Elf/Cathayan gear caught in the branches or Fan-Eltharin runes and Asrai baubles on one indicating deep friendship with Wood Elves.

As to not diminish Durthu's uniqueness (in this particular Warhammer setting anyway), the forest spirit style blades are kitbashed into glaives rather than full on swords. I kept them both blue tinted (with slight variation) to keep with the Waystone aesthetic.

There are also a few quality of life changes, namely Durthu himself is restored to properly glowing, and the Ancient Treeman no longer has abysmal LOD issues with his beard (his glow has also been taken back to WH1/WH2 levels, it is no longer a spider web of glowing energy across the face). If you want to use this with my Durthu reskin, please load it on top of this mod.

This mod also makes Durthu slightly bigger than all the other Treeman, except for the ones in this mod, old and mighty as they are.


For best compatibility with anything and everything, load this mod on top of anything and everything.

Ah how regrettable. The mod works fine for me (just checked) and many others. You have a mod conflict. Either another mod or just the load order is the problem. Good luck!

I don't see any changes when I enable mods, what am I doing wrong? Are they enabled somehow in the game itself? Or am I having some kind of problem?
