Thrusters have always been a vulnerability, especially for larger ships. You can't place armor between your hull and your thrusters, for the thrusters need your crews to supply them. While Engine Rooms can supply thrusters, they can only supply adjacent thrusters, meaning themselves must be exposed to enemy fire. I don't like how everything goes like that.

Engine Rooms power and provide bonus to thrusters within 5 meters, rather than only the adjacent thrusters. You can now place armor between engine rooms and the thrusters, making them less a vulnerability. Also, Engine Room bonus can now additively stack. Two engine rooms affecting a single thruster meaning +100% propulsion.

Gotcha, that makes sense. I thought it was a friend of yours or something and was pretty confused lol. I'll dig around in the mod myself and see whether it's an easy fix.

you will see PROTEIN in the commits of the Original mod

i dont know the mod code i just took what PROTEIN said and added it to the mod as a (fixed version) if you dont like the +100 propulsion then find that in the mod and change it yourself

i just liked the mod and the Original mod was broke and they didnt fix it so i took what he said and made my own mod with the fix so i can keep using the mod

Also, who TF is Protein? I'd ask him all of this if you linked him anywhere in the mod, but you didn't.

Extended Tech Tree isn't a cheat mod, it's a content mod. The advanced engine room is a new block you need to unlock and build with expensive resources, not just a hack of the original engine room.
Engine room stacking: "Also, Engine Room bonus can now additively stack. Two engine rooms affecting a single thruster meaning +100% propulsion." That's literally in the description of your mod. I don't like that bit, but the rest is good. What do I have to delete in the file to remove it without breaking the mod?

Also, how hard would it be for me to disable the engine room stacking for myself? It's extremely unnecessary.

Does this work with Extended Tech Tree's advanced engine room, or any modded engine rooms? ETT is pretty much a must-have mod for me, it's pretty much vanilla+, but a not-insignificant number of tweak mods don't apply to it.

If it doesn't work with it, what would I have to do to make it work on my end?

Does this Fix require the original Mod, or does this have the mod and your fix in it? Just wanna avoid conflict between them if there is any, or at least reduce the bloat of mods.
