I do not own the DLC with him (so couldnt test it), but i fixed errors in the pack file.

Usually if a mod is required they would say so, and most of the time link it (part of the required items)
I dont see anything about his mount upgrading his stats (from the original mod's page) so doubt that it does unless it has been added (usually it is stated also)
