The Mod Loader itself must be externally installed and then subscribed to. Beyond that, any mod like this just needs to be subscribed too and it will work. You dont need to download this mod from forum or discord or github, just subscribe (assuming the mod loader is set up correctly)
I wish using the mod loader were as simple as subscribing and everything would work out perfectly, but sadly thats not the case and I cant make it that way without the devs doing something. I have made everything as simple as I possible can... I definitely understand that the current setup would be bad if it would be paid, but as you stated, its free and a hobby project. :)
If you upload and host software / mods from a platform (Steam workshop, in this case), then maybe it would be a good idea to provide occasional support or comments from THAT platform.
Now, I know these are mods, and they're free... so I don't really care. It's when software developers of games use Steam to sell and distribute their product, then expect us to jump through hoops and go through different platforms /logins /locations to get support. THAT completely pisses me off. Ok, sorry about the rant.
