The Workers and Peasants Red Army, often shortened to the Red Army was the army and air force of the Russian Soviet Republic and, from 1922, the Soviet Union. February 1946, the Red Army (which embodied the main component of the Soviet Armed Forces alongside the Soviet Navy) was renamed the "Soviet Army" - which in turn became the Russian Army on 7 May 1992, following the dissolution of the Soviet Union.



Рабоче-Крестьянская Красная Армия, часто сокращаемая до Красной Армии, — это армия и военно-воздушные силы Российской Советской Республики, а с 1922 года — Советского Союза. В феврале 1946 года Красная Армия (которая представляла собой основной компонент Советских Вооруженных Сил наряду с Советским Военно-Морским Флотом) была переименована в «Советскую Армию», которая, в свою очередь, стала Российской Армией 7 мая 1992 года, после распада Советского Союза.
