Routemaster Buses

Description
The iconic red London bus!

Produced by British Leyland, this version is based on models in use from the late 60’s to 80’s.

Comes in two sizes: Standard Gauge (for purists like me) and the larger ‘Game Scale’ for mixing/matching with in-game rolling stock etc.

Driveable.

Variable levels of detail to accommodate players with less powerful gaming rigs:
Basic (out of the box)
Shift+1 – seating
Shift+2 – more internal detail
Shift+3 – more external detail

Choice of three destinations: Shift+4-6

Lighting:
L+1 – cab light
L+2 – passenger lighting
L+3 - headlights

Side panel advertising:
Shift+7 – Long John Scotch Whisky
Shift+8 – Maples Carpets
Shift+9 – Ty-Phoo Tea

As usual, feel free to add more liveries, but please credit me with the original. Thanks and enjoy!

No, because props don't support custom models, so you'd have to be satisfied with a single destination and a single side advert (I'm not going to produce a set comprising every combination of destination x advert!). I asked Franks if he was intending to release custom models for props and he said no. He suggested a workaround, which works pretty well:

Wherever you want your static bus, lay a piece of single lane road (length 4 for the Sg model or 5 for the Gs model), use F(edit) to lower/raise/rotate the road so its surface matches the surroundings, then Q(edit options) and set all the options to 'none'. You will then have a piece of invisible road on which to place the bus and still retain all the custom model and lights features of the mod.

If you've not used invisible track/road before, be aware that it will remain visible in pale blue until you use the Edit Tool to 'apply changes'.

Hope this helps!

Fair comment! I had forgotten that Gauge had updated the audio options to include road traffic. Simplest way round this is to duplicate the mod, edit the audio options and select engine-vehicle-truck and vehicle-car for horn.
